Will put district teams, Sinton now in District 30 no longer in District 26. District 31 is loaded with Bishop added to it.

TM getting some attention early with #6 ranking, I would think Calallen, Robstown and Bishop would be rank somewhere in there. Ingleside and Rockport return a good portion of their team.

The state title already has Sinton's name on it. Seriously
I'm not expecting much from Calallen this year. I wouldn't be shocked if we are picked behind TM, Bishop and Robstown in that order and that we finish that way. The net result of not building up depth at pitching with game time experience might finally bite us in the rear big time this year. Along with the baseball only mentality..

Sinton has some revamping to do in the batting order for sure. They're not gonna be as intimidating at the plate as a year ago. So could have problems early on scoring runs until they get the batting order set. Hopefully everything is humming along come district. Calallen may get off to a slow start this year but I bet they'll be in thick of things come playoff time.

Surprise Bishop not in there and also picked 5th in district with pretty much whole team returning but did lose their ace. Calallen in the stage Sinton was in 2015 when they had to reload from a state semifinalist team and had to go 5-1 last 6 games of district to make the playoffs as #4 seed and went on to knock 3 district champs including Robstown who had beat Sinton twice in district, before falling to district champ El Campo by couple of 1 run games in rd 4. It'll be hard to have a start like last year going into tournaments so I do expect Sinton to maybe drop a couple unless pitching and defense remains dominant then could be a repeat.

Texas Sinton, 36-1 The Class 4A state champions last year might be the best overall team in the state in 2023. Nine of the top 12 offensive players return from last year, including catcher Blake Mitchell who could be the top Texas player chosen in the MLB Draft. A total of 25 pitching wins return, topped by Jaquae Stewart (8-0, 0.17 ERA).

How many from that team that made world series run in junior league will be part of this year's team, few kids that look like might be dominant players if not this season but pretty sure next season. Calallen might start slow but no doubt in my mind they'll be one of the teams battling for trip to Austin.

Calallen might start slow but no doubt in my mind they'll be one of the teams battling for trip to Austin. You want my honest answer. I hope none unless they are absolutely five star material. Why? Because I saw kids from the the two other teams who made the Junior League WS get auto promotions to Varsity on day one of baseball practice as Freshmen and didn’t get playing time to develop like they would’ve playing JV or Freshmen ball. Or they got content they made varsity and they were done i.e -The entitlement attitude. They all need to go through the fire as Freshmen and earn it based on their abilities and not because they were hand picked for an all star team. This is probably an unpopular opinion at least publicly. Privately some Calallen peeps will tell you the same thing. The community in some ways did those other two teams wrong by assuming and telling them they had tickets to state punched for two or three years based on those All Star teams. Don't get me wrong. Those teams and including the one from last year had some very skilled baseball players, But the Junior League tourneys don't necessarily showcase some of the best talent out there like they once did because of the select circuit. If you watch any of the WS games, you can see the skill levels are like night and day vs the other US teams because their teams are not necessarily filled up with select players like our teams are. Most of these Calallen Junior teams are kids who all play the select circuit and take a break from it to play on this team That's why they've hit the wall when playing the international champs because their teams are club teams and can match or exceed their skill levels.
