Apparently the Varsity had 14 illegal players that were being picked up by coaches from other towns. I think the biggest problem I have with this is I'm tired of the corrupt UIL cherry picking who they hold responsible for all this stuff.

Where is this news? I saw Stepp’s Tweet, but nothing confirmed.

Where is this news? I saw Stepp’s Tweet, but nothing confirmed. Well the 27-6A DEC unanimously voted to ban San Marcos from the playoffs for two years. I’m curious if there is a precedent for the UIL overturning a unanimous decision by the district athletic directors. If this is true it’s very disappointing. It seemed fishy that San Marcos rose so quickly. New Braunfels is also trending up, but their rise was a slow grind year over year. I guess it makes sense that it was due to recruiting.

When did they bring in that coach who won a title up Denton? That was a splash hire for sure.

My biggest problem is all the innocent players now and later punished for something they had no control of. Has to be a better way to punish the ones guilty.
