Losing some great seniors from 2022 State Champions roster but returning good portion of the lineup and only losing one pitcher from last season. Some young ones ready to step in for 2023 🏴☠️⚾️❗️ About 3 more months to 2023 season.

This is cool and all, but LSU might be SOL. That kid has the best tools I’ve ever seen from a HS prospect. He’ll be playing rookie ball come summer.

He has mention several times he's committed to LSU but a 1st round draft pick may be the key, be great if Texas gets him if he's still available or Houston if he' still there but he drops further down think he'll stick to college ranks. Sinton using him like last season on the mound in relief during the season and starter in playoffs. Catching is his spot in bigs.

Being a left handed batting catcher with his contact, power, and throwing arm, I honestly believe he will be a high 1st round pick.

With his NIL potential he could make a nice living while in college and continue to improve his skills. Probably even start his freshman year. But to go straight to the majors after high school could be risky.

What. Do y'all really expect this kid could go from HS to the MAJOR LEAGUE? Rookie ball is a long way from that. I'd agree that would be possible.

Well he already signed on to play at LSU so I believe he'll honor that commitment. A couple years at the college level will better prepare him for the majors in my opinion.

Been some mock mlb draft done by some baseball sites and two highest pick has Blake Mitchell going in 1st Rd as 20th pick to Toronto Blue Jays and next highest in Rd 1 as 21st pick to St Louis Cardinals.
Texas Rangers pick 4th think are set on a college pitcher Houston Astros pick 28th
Mitchell on the mound tops out at 96 mph but likely be drafted for his catching/hitting.

Really something for him to be proud of but college is where he needs to go not the majors. If he wants to be a success in the big leagues he needs that college experience.

I'm not sure if going in 1st round late going to take the mlb route or being drafted way earlier like within 1st 10 picks will do it but yea I think he goes the college ball route. Keep seeing his family is a baseball family does he have relatives or dad play pro ball?
