This could really shake up the CFB world. Every conference has a week division, SEC East, BIG 10 West, and ACC Coastal Which tends to take away a spot from a better team in a title game from time to time.

Essentially what the Big 12 does right now which made the championship kind of feel phony at the end of the day. At least with the BIG 12 before A&M, Mizzou, Corn, and Colorado left, chances were the two championship game team didn't meet in the regular season and to some extent that holds true in SEC thanks to the way they schedule things like for example keeping the occasions when UGA and Bama in the regular season to rare event.

I don't think the Pac12 would go round-robin(which is dumb) if they dissolved the divisions, they would just take the two top teams keeping their current schedule format. The SEC is considering a four pods of four teams system with a few permanent rival games.

I think you are correct. UT, A&M, Arky and OuSux will see each other annually under this scenerio... I think?

I don't think they will have a choice but to do so in order to accomodate the games that rotate so they can be held in a more timely manner instead of being spread out. The SEC was taking some heat for this because they wanted to leave that November date open for most of their schools to get another cupcake in before the rivarly games which almost always have an impact on the polls too. It was ridiculous that A&M and UGA only met for the first time six or seven years after A&M joined the SEC and I'm sure their are other matchups that don't get played as often either. A four year player should at least have one shot to play against each team in the conference before his elgiblity is up.

Good bull hunting did a good write up on a 3-6-6 SEC schedule. 3 rivals, and rotate the remaining 12 teams every other year. I would just change their projeection of A&M Rivals. Kickout the Piggies and replace them with Ole Miss or South Carolina. www.goodbullhunting.com/2022/5/13/23071167/what-a-podless-sec-football-schedule-could-look-like-3-6-6-permanent-opponents-texas-oklahoma
