Did anyone catch the games over the weekend?
It was about what I expected but fun to watch, with Innovative camera angles and I like the PAT 1-2-3 point setup. Sure it's not the NFL or FBS level but it's better than nothing till September.
Give the teams a few weeks to gel and it should be competitive down the stretch.

Game on now. Stadium is empty. Laredo brings more fans. Sad. The league is focused on tv ratings. All games are in Birmingham to save money on travel and stadium rental fees. its kinda hard to get fan support locally for the "away" teams. I believe all the teams are owned by the USFL, its an odd format but I can see why they are doing it.

I really want this league to survive and be successful. Heck if the old usfl had stayed a spring league and not tried to take over the NFL head to head, it would still be around and thriving. World league was a good one too. Got some big names from that league as well back in the day. The fact that they gave san antonio a shot at a pro team was awesome. It would be a great developmental league if they could do like NBA D league does. Heck they could help not only players but coaches get the experience they need to eventually step in to the NFL and give guys the reps they need to fix their weaknesses. Guys like Manzel, Tebow, Kaepernick, RG3, Trask, and others could have went that route, been coached up and developed then gone into the NFL and possibly had success at that point. The NFL would benefit, fans would benefit, players would benefit, and the game itself would benefit. Even the refs would be able to work their craft more.
