Just announced this morning that a group of industrial vendors donated 2 million dollars for the Indian point project. Zachary, Mitsubishi Heavy Industry group and Gulf Coast Ventures(Exxon) donated the funds to build a new park next to Indian point pier. New expanded parking lot, new covered area for tables and new bathrooms. Thanks to those vendors who are helping Portland offer better facilities for residents and visitors to our city.

What is this? $2m is a lot of cash for sure but in the grand scheme of things in this day and age it is nothing when it comes to any kind of project of any size. Hell, the average new HS in our area is now $150m

Portland is footing most of the funding and these vendors like to get good press in Portland. It’s not a huge project but it gives Portland people and visitors a nice place to park & picnic next to the bayside.
