The biggest difference between calhoun and FB team from last year is, last year was "supose" to be the rebuilding season. Whitaker reloaded instead. This years team returns skill position players and some bigmen,
They should have a good season,.how good remain to be seen

More difference than that. FB last year had to replace their QB, RB, LBs (except for 1) and secondary. The only thing that had everyone hyped up was the huge line FB had coming back. Granted they did not know the RB was moving when all the big predictions were made.

They lost their entire 4X100 meter relay team which was basically their secondary and speedster utility player on O. The hype was still there because of what they did the season before and the HUGE linemen. I think the only connection between PLC and FB from last year is the hype. Now let's see if the PLC kids take it for granted or if they continue to work hard and forget about the press.

So what you all are saying is that FB hype last was based on very little knowledge and a lot of talk?
We believe we will be good based on the fact that we are returning most of the skilled positions from our O side of the ball from last year. And we were pretty good on offense. The player we lost was our left slotback in Hoffman. Looks as if Brooks will fill this spot and is a big step up. We don't know this first hand, but OU and UT think so, so we tend to believe them. We lost some OL and I believe we've mentioned that this year depends on our JV guys stepping up and doing their jobs.
It's also been mentioned that we really need to pick it up on defense. It's not impossible to go out and outscore everyone, but it's not likely you can do that week in and week out.
I think you FB guys are so upset over last year that you are just hoping PLC doesn't do well. Maybe if we don't then we'll all forget about the 2010 FB team that underachieved.

Calhoun is in Division 2 so they should be fine. I vote for 3-4 rounds deep.

Yeah, we a bit lucky with the enrollment numbers. 20 less kids than GP. We've probably dropped down below the 1200 mark this year, though. We'll have to slip a peak of GP's numbers again this year before we turn ours in!
