There are some 5a teams that say hello, like Aledo! Yeah yeah š¤£š I try to forget them lol... just kidding... I keep forgetting they are 5A because they play like a 6A. I honestly was thinking of them as 6A. I also don't want you to think I am discounting the CS, SV, and CP type of programs. Those are good, very dang good! No disrespect to any of those programs at all. They are all very very good. Whatās the common denominator? Population density and solid coaching programs.

Chappell Hill destroyed people offensively. They have been extremely dominant. If Callalen has the right personnel in place they may be able to put up some big numbers offensively. I would expect them to start a little slow, but by the time District hits watch out. I mean district play? If they don't destroy teams, watch out.... they can beat those guys with their JV.... with the exception of TM. The other 3 teams are trash.... Cal and TM shouldn't give up any points except to each other, and should average 60 minimum for those 3 games. It's like putting MJ, Steph Curry, and Shaq in an Elementary 3 on 3 basketball tournament, or the Rangers in the high school baseball playoffs with metal bats, or the chiefs vs robstown....

Lolā¦ You are correct about that district, I think my point was more that late in the season they should be rounding into form. The Chappell Hill offense was spread base, but run heavy. Once the kids pick it up they will be operating on all cylinders and be set to ho a few rounds deep. If I was a Calallen fan I would be excited about his choice as OC.

They are dominant for sure and could play and beat the majority of 5a teams and even quite a few 6a teams to.

Coach Reeve is def putting together a staff. Not the typical S. Texas retread type of deal. Itās going to be an interesting year for sure. Canāt wait!

Only a few teams better to watch in my opinion. DeSoto and Duncanville being 2 of those... just really great football... There is absolutely no doubt those teams in East Texas are power house programs in football. All you have to do is go on Smoaky football forum and you will be reminded daily by the posters. In the Dallas/Fort Worth area you have those huge school districts that draw in the most talent into their programs. In the piney woods areas football is King and itās created the Surratt program in Carthage. That program is a magnet that yearly draws in the most talented players in East Tx. The Gilmers and the Celina programs are also yearly having very deep runs into the playoffs. These schools are not in high population areas and the average salaries run in the lower range due to mostly lumber industries in the areas. Those schools provide the best coaches and programs and that is why the most talent move to those programs and get the best chance to get a college scholarship. Celina is not in East Texas. Just sayin. Lol

Despite what some here think retreads are not always bad. It's when those retreads get lazy and quit working hard. For instance, Chambliss is a great coach and a retread. He works hard and has fire in his belly. Whereas, say Spunk was not at that same spot. He was not doing the things to fix issues, so in my opinion that seemed lazy. Ford would have been a retread, he again has fire in his belly and is hard working.

Yep, hell itās above Dallas. Dallas-Fort Worth area is considered to be in north Texas. Celina is just north of Prosper. That's not east Texas. Lol
