From what I can gather the hater's main complaints about a new stadium are the fact that it's gonna seat less than it currently does and they use stadium's like Melissa's new stadium as price/size comparisons not understanding this is 2024 and you aren't gonna get 2020 prices. Chino, I think the absolute best way to go at this stadium is to do what you guys said they are doing which is to build the stadium with less seating. However, the way to do it is to make it so it is very, very simple to add on to both sides in the future. In other words, build it 30 rows high instead of 20 and just go from the 20 yd line to the 20 yard line or whatever so that later a bunch more seating can be added on. Make damn sure all infrastructure is completely out of the way when it is built for that future add on.

Be sure and have enough in that Bond for a $750,000 score board like GP has. Guarantees State Champion teams every year. The plus is GP is training students how to run it and charging other schools to train their students. Wrong again 37, the scoreboard was purchased and installed by an agreement to GP by a 10 year loan the heavy industry around GP took out to pay for the scoreboard. GPISD smartly created a class to train students in the audio/Video profession and is working with Del Mar college to enhance that training into an associates degree. What is the problem with using a gift to GP to enhance our students abilities to secure a good profession after high school?

My Tongue in cheek narrative just states they should have a $750,000 dollar scoreboard like HP has. The humor in my statement to try to lighten up the serious situation at Alice that posters on here have no control over. No it will not guarantee Alice a state title but they may win one. I hope so.

You arent fooling anybody. We all saw your dig at GP about the 750K scoreboard and how it would guarantee a championship. You didnt have your facts right about how it was paid for since that wouldnt fit your biased narrative.

They could go together and build a spiffy one in Driscoll where the property should be cheaper and about midway between. Then they rotate home and away games week to week.

Not so sure the property is that cheap now thanks to Elon Musk and his battery refinery being built out there. It's like Fort Knox trying to get into the place too.

In all seriousness, if I were on the FB ISD admin team Iβd be getting with A&M CC about doing something. TAMUK is about to get sent to relic status thanks to UTRGV and their new program and once again the RGV takes a leap when the Coastal Bend just looks.

Has FB ever even attempted to put a new stadium on a bond? I don't recall ever hearing anything like that.

Someone on my STXB page made a very good point that I myself have thought about but didn't want to get into posting... his comment said that AISD is messing up in trying to convince the voters that a new stadium is needed by still having all these recent events at the stadium - Soccer games are still being played there, the Hub City relays, the Little Olympics... I mean that school district just can't do anything right and it's sad and ridiculous. Those events should have been moved away from the stadium in order to show the public that they really are worried about the stadium conditions. It's times like this that I feel better that AISD stabbed me in the back when they did because I wouldn't have been able to be a part of all the stupidity that goes on there and not run my mouth about it like at least now I'm able to.

It could work for them the opposite way in that out of town folks may see the shape that it is in and complain about it???

[rolls eyes] Well, I can only say we have seen a lot of fan bases complain about Lehnhoff stadium in Schertz these past few years. They did do a little improvement on the visitor's side because of that but it is still a pathetic excuse of a stadium for 2 6a teams to be using. lol

If it fails, the ISD might have to declare the stadium officially unsafe or the state might do it for them. There is now to much publicity for them not too. If that happens, then Alice becomes road warriors next year and possibly the next and that might wake up some that will sit on their asses for the vote or vote against. Imagine having to play every game away from Alice including parents night and homecoming? Even if Alice uses another area stadium like Robstown or Calallen for those two games and maybe a couple of others, it will suck for everyone. Not to mention the travel budget will be unreal.
