It's the win/loss records of each team Wimberley and Sinton played. Got it off Maxpreps. Go to Wimbo and Sinton's schedules and it shows each teams record that they played. I got it. Just wasn't sure what the numbers represented when you said strength of schedule. I don't read too much into opponents win/loss records really simply because unless you dive deep into who those opponents have played you don't know really what those wins or losses mean strength wise. Hell, there are some teams that play in terrible districts that have winning records and if they were in good districts they'd have overwhelmingly bad records. I think both teams played about the same strength of schedule overall and there isn't a whole lot of difference there.

I've got Wimberley winning the whole enchilada....it's their time this season. Carthage has a relatively easy path to the SC Title game, IMHO....now that they got past Pleasant Grove. But I think most fans have been looking toward a Wimberley appearance in this season's title game all along, regardless of whether Carthage made it or not. In fact....IMHO I think Pleasant Grove would have been a more formidable opponent this season for Wimbo than Carthage will be. So I have Wimbo vs Carthage for this season's Title Tilt....and Wimberley coming out on top. That means this week's game is a tune-up and keeping everybody healthy. OF COURSE....there's the winner of Bellville vs Jasper hanging in the balance. Maybe Bellville wins the whole enchilada this season and almost EVERYBODY did not see this train coming!!

I hope you are right but I'm not seeing it! Wimberley, if they beat Sinton will be an underdog to either Jasper or Bellville. And to Bellville they will be 2-3 TD underdogs! I think right now the only two teams left of the 7 out there opposite Wimberley that they'd actually be favored are probably Sinton and maybe Glen Rose. I think they are about even with West Plains and Gilmer but would absolutely be at least 2 TD underdogs to Carthage if they both make it to the title game. Like I said, I hope I'm wrong about this but I'm just not seeing Wimberley getting past R3. 7-5 Lago Vista gave Wimberley a pretty good game and Sinton took them out by almost the exact same margin Wimberley beat LV by.

Wimberley 38 Sinton 13 Final
Congrats to the Texans on the win. A very good football team that will be hard to beat going forward.

Wimberley's path just got brighter now that Gilmer defeated Carthage in OT....they should have won in regulation, though. But I think Gilmer will have all they want against a very good passing attack from Glen Rose. And Bellville was exposed somewhat by Jasper tonight even though Bellville won that game. Suddenly Bellville doesn't look so dominating defensively....esp. when trying to limit a very good passing QB with good receivers like Wimberley has shown all season long. So IF I lived in Wimberley, I would be a little bit GIDDY tonight, for sure.

Sinton played tough and had a very good season, from my understanding they have many of the key pieces returning next year. Congrats on the win Wimberley. Will be watching and rooting for you to take it all.

Agree that the big bad wolf from one side of the bracket is now gone but I'm not sure what you see in a 31-7 drubbing of a very good Jasper team that just beat Cuero 28-7 a week ago as not being dominating defensively? That Jasper team averaged close to 40 ppg against the other 13 opponents. Bellville is going to be favored over Wimberley next week by at least 2 scores, probably more. I seriously hope I'm wrong and Wimberley finds a way to score enough to win but I'm not seeing it happening. Literally everything favors Bellville including SOS.

It all comes down to the matchup....as we have seen so many times in these playoff games. I think it will be a real test for the Brahmas to contain the Texan passing attack. We already know that Wimberley can play some defense, too. Should be a low to mid-scoring game with some big offensive plays mixed in to a defensive battle. The kicking games for both teams should be a very important element to this matchup next week as field position will be of primary importance.

After what I saw Blanco do to Goliad there was no way I would have bet $1 to $10 that Edna was going to do that to them last night. Holy mackeral they put it on them. Same goes for Ganado/Refugio.
