I posted some videos to point out the lack of coaching at GP and here come the haters. There was comments that GP was outcoached. It's people like you in our community that are the real problem. Did we play well at all.... nope. Sometimes great coaches lose. Sometimes it's being outmatched, sloppy play, missed assignments, missed passes, dropped passes, fumbles, penalties, missed tackles, missed blocks, and sometimes coaches make mistakes. It's easy to sit in your recliner and be right all of the time. You have no idea what went on during practice that week, how they were prepared, or how they mentally came into the game. I know that my son (Reed Dooms) came into the game over pumped. He was so pumped up for the game that he was throwing the ball like a f'n missile. That's great actually, but on the first 2 or 3 drives he was throwing the ball too low and got balls batted down. Go back and look at the film and two of those are TD's if they are caught. Would it have changed the outcome, possibly not, but it sure would have put some pressure on them to do something. Instead we go down 21-7 really quick. He owned his mistakes and the team will bounce back from this. I'm not sure if you are aware or not, but Reed broke his left shoulder blade in the Calallen game. We didn't know until a few weeks later, but he played through it. Hence the brace he sported for a lot of the year. The lead shoulder is a big part of the throwing motion and he didn't have the power and accuracy we all know he possesses for much of the regular and district season. He is now 100% and it is apparent in the velocity and accuracy that we are seeing once again. Point is, the coaches have to adjust to what they have. We were not the same team for a little while. This is not an excuse but the truth. I'm sure that these coaches will make the necessary adjustments needed to get the job done if we get a chance to meet up with them again. These coaches are great coaches and they need our support and not someone calling for their jobs because they lose a game. I've watched this forum for a while and I don't post, but you seem to always be one of the people who hide behind a fake handle name, but have all of the things to say. I'd like to know if you'd actually say these things to the coaches to their faces or say what you have to say about players to their faces? I'd highly suggest you keep individual players out of your comments. I do not know if you particularly have or not, but I'd suggest not doing that. If you think for a second that these coaches and players are not going out there to win, you're wrong. I for one, think we have a great group of coaches and I 100% support them, win or lose, each and every week. I will continue to do so as well. Before you can say it, we tip our hat to Flour Bluff for coming out and playing well. They beat us.... period. Yeah we wanted to come into their house and win, but we didn't. It's not the end of the world. You pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and regroup. You don't forget, but you put it in the back of your brain and get ready for the next game. Now it's one game at a time. If we do that, we can get to the R4 championship and possibly meet up with them again. I'd like to say I promise a different outcome, but I won't. I will tell you, that it'll be a different game. If not, best of luck to them and go get it if we can't. Be a supporter and not a hater, trash talking, keyboard hero! There are a lot of great kids on that team and absolute great coaches teaching them more than just football. Some of these kids, each week could be the last time they get to play. They will have to buy a ticket the next time to get in. Be a little compassionate and supportive to the goal they are all after. If you want to help, come be a part of the support team, booster club, and helping give the coaches everything they need to be successful. I'm not going to sit in here and argue with you about this either. I'd also suggest that you bring a rain coat or foul weather gear tonight.... It's going to be a wet one. Best of luck to our team tonight as well as Flour Bluff. I will be rooting for FB to win and continue to win. I know I want them to win so we can have a rematch. I support us first, but I also support all of our South Texas teams to go win it all.

Also the FB coaches worked very hard to get ready for this game. No sure why they haven’t locked this thread already

OldcatoldBuddie don't pay a lot of attention to above post from Mr. Dooms. He has his opinion and I respect his opinion. He does not have a clue as to my involvement at GP and every Coach in that HS knows who I am and they don't know me on this blog. They have my mailing address as I have sent all of them mail. I did get a thank you note back from Suptd . Michelle Cavazos. MR. Dooms is zeroed in on his son and I zero in on the offensive line blocking and how good a job the receiver does and how soon does he get open. Is the receiver's forward leg side to the center. Is his chest over his forward knee and does he run the same speed that he runs his best forty in? Does he watch for the snap of the ball instead of listen for the snap count. Coach Jonathan Alexander and Coach Jonathan Nance is the receivers coach. His son is a teenager and I consider that. The main problem is the secondary and Coach Mark Chester coaches the safeties. Coach Colton Buzzard coaches the corners. He was a QB in HS at Coleman and his dad was a coach. When you watch the video, check to see if the blocker is back Pedaling toward MR. Dooms son. Coach Dave Holmgreen and Coach Brent Swanson are the Offense line coaches. Coach Brent Davis AD/HC job is to coach the coaches. It takes a village. The village is not doing a very good job and got outcoached in the Flour Bluff game. I have addressed this with DR.Michelle Cavazos and I am not the only poster on here that expects some coaches will be hiring a moving van at end of season. MR. Dooms, I love your son and all the rest of the players at GP and I am getting them help that I won't go into on here. Food Chain is Faith, Family, Education, Athletics. OldCat, I love all the Flour Bluff Players to. Paragraph
