My projections
1. Port Lavaca Calhoun 2. La Vernia 3. Pleasanton 4. Beeville 5. Floresville 6. Rockport Fulton
Every district game will be a must win with that playoff spot on the line will be CRUCIAL & whoever gets the LAST spot (The 4th place) …. Good luck seeing either Alice or Calallen in Bi-District action

I think only Calhoun and La Vernia have QB coming back that Started Games Last year. Everyone else is looking for a new Starter. Calhoun Original Starter at QB moved to FB And had over 1000 yards rushing last year. He's back as well. But he's a far cry from Johnson.

Flow, is Mayberry's still around in Floresville? I want to say it was like a fro yo place.... owned by Jermaine Mayberry and his brother Jamal... They were good dudes. I coached at Beeville with Jamal. They were proud to be Floresville Alum.

In y'alls district, 5th could actually be a 4 way tie for 2nd though... especially the way last year went. Hope Calhoun doesn't start 0-7 again. Man they have a pretty brutal schedule... They could start 1-4, 2-3, 3-2, or 4-1. District they should go 4-1 but could be 5-0. Although as tough as that district could be 3-2 or 2-3 and tied for a playoff spot is not out of the question. Stratford will be tough, they should beat West Oso this year, Sinton will be tough and should be favored, I feel like Yoakum will be close but PLC pulls it off, GP will be tough and should be favored, then a tough LaVernia that will be favored again, then wins over Pleasanton, Beeville, Rockport, and Floresville...So any where from 5-5 to 9-1 in my opinion.. I like Whit, so I really hope it's 9-1 or better.

Sinton has 4 of the teams in this district on their schedule, last season went 2-2 with 2 losses being against Beeville and La Vernia in games Sinton defense dominated only to have both of those teams comeback and win late. Won against PLC a game the defense bent and PLC fumble a few times if I recall and led the whole game until Sinton offense finally came back to win in a low scoring game. Rockport is the only game Sinton won in a blow out.
Sinton offense is the experience bunch this season, last season it was the defense. Should be 4 good matchups again this year.

And I don't think they will beat G-P. So anywhere from 2 to 4 wins is possible IMO. But 0 Fer is possible as we saw last year. I don't realistically think that will happen again. Calhoun had lost 2 Starters to Season ending Injury by this time last year. They never really recovered from that until the last few games of the season. About the time the Soph QB took over full time and the Other moved to FB.

When they opened, Jamal took us there to enjoy some free treats. Jermaine was super cool, especially for a dude that was an NFL player. Huge monster of a man!!!

I believe PLC has a scrimmage tomorrow in Hallettsville... It's today in Halletsville. Just hoping both teams come out of it healthy. No repeat of last year.

2022 standings (District standings) La Vernia 9 3 (5-0) Pleasanton 6 6 (3-2) Port Lavaca Calhoun 5 8(3-2) Beeville Jones 5 6 (2-3) Rockport-Fulton 4 6 (2-3) Floresville 3 7 (0-5) Not to really change the subject but where is the old Flour Bluff coach at this year? Wasn’t he coaching at Floresville? You really don’t pay too much attention to the standings from last year do you? Floresville beat Rockport-Fulton. Rockport Fulton finished behind Floresville both had 1 win in district. Floresville was more competitive and kept games closer is the reason why.
