As many schools do there’s always some old farts not happy I dont believe any internal politics were at play in regards to Worrell's departure...his Mom had some health concerns and his grandchildren were born while he was in El Campo and he felt like he needed to get closer to home....I dont think some in El Campo were happy with him, but I didnt get the sense he was in danger of losing his job this year... As for Reeve going to El Campo, I think El Campo quickly identified their guy, contacted him, found out there was mutual interest and they went forward without a dog and pony show

People in El Campo I know felt good about Worrell too. Like I said some fans expect a SC every time they change coaches

They were in EC today looking for a place to live. He was going to be the DC at New Caney but Reeves convinced him to come with him. The feeling I get is Reeves missed being the AD as well as HFC. Here he gets that opportunity back.

What kind of team will they have this season? They play Miller and Vets again. Miller over in El Campo and Vets in Corpus. I think.

He probably kept some El Campo retreads on his staff. I mean one Coastal Bend school hired a State Championship caliber coach once upon a time and the retreads lead to his departure. So we've been told. Every program is loaded with retreads. That's a detail left off of their excuse. Chino, dont say "their", it was 1 person. Or 2 or 1, Im not sure.

I honestly don't know a heck of a lot about them but with Travis Reeve at the helm they will be tough, well disciplined and smart ball players. I know they return a stud at QB in Oliver Miles. Heck of an offensive spectacle but I think he is being recruited by several D1 schools to play safety.

With the coaching change, I'm curious Reeve opens up the offense or keeps it super run heavy...

With his brother Charlie and NC OC at Vic East I've been trying to figure out what kind of offense they ran over there at New Caney. It looks like they ran out of multiple sets with a lot of pre snap motion. Little of the wildcat kinda like they did with JW over at Cuero. Nothing too fancy but I think both brothers utilize there strengths on offense, paying attention to the details.......

The little things are what make you or break you... A lot like Soza, he is a slot t coach, but if he has the QB1 to sling it and the guys to catch it, they are gonna line up and sling it.

Yes sir you said it! If you got four guys running 4.4 40s and they all have a chance to touch the ball it's difficult for even the best DC to defend. I think Couch Reeve will do well at EC and ya probably open things up a bit on offense. Can't wait to see how they shake out!!
