Listening to all the talking heads give their after the game opinions was aggravating. Since they all had predicted Michigan would be too physical for little ole TCU for days previously they couldn't admit TCU won but were saying Michigan lost. Things like Michigan failed to score twice in goal to go and short situations. Not that TCU stopped them. TCU got 2 scores on pick six plays like defense scoring is a fluke giving less credit because it was the defense scoring. Another person who is getting no credit Gary Pattersen. It's all look what Dykes did in just one year.

Actually Herbstreet is a Norte Dame Southern Cal fanatic. He thinks the Norte Dame QB should get the Heisman every year and Norte Dame and Southern Cal should play for the Natl title every year. The game officials have been helping Norte Dame win games for years. . I don’t think any team was preparing for playing TCU. Going to be interesting Jan. 9 in Los Angeles. This sounds like someone don't watch much of Herbie on the ole tube. He will always be Ohio State. And he takes up for Clemson since his sons played there.

Herbie and the rest of the sport media have one job and one job only when the season begins and that is to hype Norte Dame and USC. At least this has been the mojo since the BCS era. Thankfully they failed this year at least on the Norte Dams part. This years playoff was much more entertaining without them getting in by default thanks to their past ability to pick their battles and get in by default because they has a spotless record. To only get exposed in these playoffs. USC on the other hand had their chance but blew it. And like Texas, they’ve been a has been for the last decade or so if not more so of a has been going through a few coaching changes themselves.

Majority of the sport media has connections of one sort or another with Big 10 schools. If they couldn’t have an all SEC championship to help push the ratings, the next best thing is a an All Big 10 championship.

The Big 12 absolutely sucked in the bowl season and I guess the cherry on top was the TCU loss although the Frogs should get more credit than they are for beating Harbaugh and Michigan. After the last few bowl seasons and with the expanded playoffs coming up, it's time to pretty much shelve the bowls as we know them now. Some like the Alamo, Holiday, etc. might be brought in for playoff sites which I hope the Alamo does so that way they can show our esteemed UIL they are worthy of hosting a NCAA Playoff and Final Four, but why not high school championships? With all the opt outs and non sense, teams are not able to put their regular season best out there. Look at Texas losing their one-two punch in their backfield and that screwed up the whole mojo of the offense. Then it was revealed that Brooks played with a Hernia and that's why his time was limited in that game. At least the playoffs would incentivize these opt outs to stay , I think. The NCAA needs to allow colleges to recoup their schollie monies with this opt out non sense espeically since most of them have nice NIL deals. Make a rule that says if you opt out before the season ends no matter if it ends during the regular season or playoffs/bowl season, the college can recoup up to 100% of the schollie money for up to two years.

TCU had a great season for sure no matter how it ended. I believe GA beats them 10 out of 10 times but it damn sure shouldn't have been that bad!! whether a wider expanded playoff system will make some of them stay and play we will see but I have my doubts! I do not disagree with you at all about them paying back the colleges the scholarship money they've received if they do not stay and finish up. I mean hell, if they are leaving for the NFL they are going to get a big payday so pay the damn money back that you took and didn't complete your part of the bargain for! I guess I'm just fed up with this BS all the way around! I've always said to limit regular season (non conference and conference games combined) to 10 games. Take a field of 32 teams and play it off. If TX HSFB teams can play 16 games including 6 PO games, why the hell can't the college teams play 15 with 5 of them being PO games to decide the NC!? 32 team playoff would allow for 31 of the bowl games to be incorporated into the playoffs!
