The UIL, Jerry Jones and DFW are raking in the money. All the entity's up there want it to continue and will continue their DFW Bias to achieve that. AND complaining will label others as whiners with no legit argument. Just see the Spreadsheet already posted by DCTF'S own Greg Tepper as proof of the bias. It's going to continue in DFW. Yea I just looked up the Tweet and some of the responses from media types. So darn condescending. Don't think for a minute the DFW area schools would like to use that same argument to move other championships up there. I can see them argue >>>> Baseball- new rangers park and the old park next door. Basketball- Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Volleyball is already in Garland. Soccer- Frisco I'm sure the state band directors up there would love to move State Band to Jerry world. The let them have crumbs attitude of the DFW is nauseating at times. That's why I avoid it as much as possible. They only care about the Haves in the DFW. Those of us that can't afford to see the State Championships are just to dumb and Poor to reap the rewards.

Next year please just put each scoreboard classification in its own Division such as 4A in 4A and 5A in 5A ect. This 6A has 18 pages and you have to hunt down through the whole 18 pages to find a 3A score.

Pretty simple I think since we are only talking about 12 total games! Is it really easier to have to go to a separate thread to put up score updates, or just come to one and do it? Hell, you are the one who was posting game info on an Alice thread, right?

Multiple Franklin/Brock score updates on the wrong thread texxas5asports.proboards.com/user/986/recent?page=6Yet you want multiple score update threads instead of just one for all the title games.

A Twitter vote:
Should the UIL State Football Championships stay in Arlington or rotate to a different location? #dctf #txhsfb

What is in the best interest of the players? Which playoff stadium is best for college recruiter?
Which stadium is fairest for both teams?
What is fairest for the fans?
The bottom line is you can’t please everybody.

The bottom line is you can’t please everybody. Therefore it is ideal to rotate the largest sports state championship venue to allow both players and fans from different areas to have a closer travel experience. Not just the DFW metroplex.

62.9% have voted stay in Arlington. Arlington/Houston rotation is second trailing badly at just less than 9%.

62.9% have voted stay in Arlington. Arlington/Houston rotation is second trailing badly at just less than 9%. Twitter polls are useless as most online polls. Like 99% or them. Just ask President Ron Paul. LOL! I get the attraction of Jerry World. Been there for a title game and a few college games. But it's not the gem of a stadium it once was as many NFL franchises have built stadiums that are just as nice and don't have the west sun blaring straight in your face and an owner who can't cough up a few thousand to put some sort of roll down blinds to block that sun during day games. LMAO! Ok, it is still a better venue than NRG and the Alamodome. But we are talking about high school kids here . If I were a coach down here I would understand the gravity of wanting my kids to play up there if given the chance. But tactically and strartegy wise, I wouldn't if given a chance to play at the Alamodome or NRG. And this is why. The DFW people live in their own bubble up there. Most of them rarely get out of that bubble unless it's for vacation or business related stuff. They have some of the best hospitals, shopping, colleges, etc all with in that metroplex and the counties touching it. Alot of us who live from Austin south have to travel to the major metro areas of San Antonio or Houston to get that stuff. During football season and the playoffs, they rarely leave that bubble too, unless it's to maybe a quick trip to Waco for a neutral site game. But nothing that requires a more than three hour bus ride and the logistics involved with it. What is happening now and the last few years is you have a block of teams who have built a comfort zone up there whether they are in the game every year or not. Not to pick on Aledo, but come on for someone to say they don't have a huge home-field advantage every year is being disingenuous and you can go down the line with others that are becoming somewhat permanent fixtures up there like Duncanville. The counter argument is other sports like basketball and baseball have their permanent locations too and can be advantageous for the Austin and San Antonio area teams who participate in those sports. That maybe true, but the logistics involved and the cost is a heck of alot smaller vs football when you consider you are loading up buses with maybe 60 or more football kids, bands, cheer, support staff, and equipment. This is something the DFW NEVER has to bake into their cake. NEVER. So yea if I were the coach at whatever 5A school from Austin down to the RGV and I got a chance to play Aledo at the Alamodome, I'd be giddy as heck because that gets them out of that comfort zone. Especially if the prior year, my team played at Jerryworld against them. Like I said above, I'd be torn between wanting my kids to experience that venue and the logistics. But the logistics and anything that could give my kids an edge would win out every time. If it meant playing that game in the weather in Austin at DKR, so be it. And actually I don't think this would be a debate today if the UIL just decided to keep everything in Austin. Up until this, I think most people in all sports saw the championships being played in Austin because it's our state's capital city and mapwise closest to the central part of the state with the major facilities to accommodate although Waco could accommodate too .
