Carthage is 8-0 in championship games. Has not lost when getting to this point. Pretty banged up this year. Usually go in pretty healthy but seemingly Gilmer, PG, and GR have taken a toll. Welcome to the forum. Is Carthage your team? Carthage is 8-1 in finals games though. They are 8-0 in their last 8. They lost their first title game back in 1991 to A&M Consolidated 16-35. Of the last 8 titles they've won, only a couple have been close. They've pretty much dominated when getting here the last 15 years!

All BS aside I think Wimbo is going to put up a good fight. Honestly I didn't give them a chance against Cuero. They have really good coaches and I'm sure they will have a good game plan for the Bulldogs. If football was only two quarters long I think Wimbo could take 'em. But Carthage will more than likely wear them out down the stretch. Still pulling for the Texans from Wimberley! Absolutely Wimberley will put up a hell of a fight against Carthage. I have two nephews on the team and I would love to see them win it all. My heart is with Wimberley but my brain see those huge athletic O&D lines and a D1 QB and two D1 running backs on the Carthage team. I also see one of the best HC and staff in Texas running that team. Glen Rose was the only team that gave Carthage a threat this season and they came back to beat them in closing minutes of the game. Surratt will not let that happen again this season. For Wimberley to win they must play offense better than they ever have played and the defense the same type of effort. I hope your Nephews bring home that ring. For all the Uncles in The Coastal Bend!! Although they are HC Rats, lol......

As much as I'd like to see a Wimberley win, I don't think it is happening. Carthage by 3 scores (17-21 points) Clememsbuff it's happening Texans will be state champs

It will take one hell of a ball game and a little extra luck with some turnovers though to do it I believe.

Oh yeah proud of those boys, Zach #15 is the oldest , he caught that interception off the deflected pass to seal the win against Cuero in the last drive.

Carthage got by with a horse collar. There should have been two penalty’s 15 yds each.
