The video game/ computer era has led to the obesity of the youth in America. Kids stay inside and play video games for hours and surf the internet rather than go outside and run some calories off. I lived outdoors as a kid. Ditches, creeks, ponds, lake, rivers, farm fields, and the woods is where I could be found. It all comes back to the parents. I grew up in the heart of the video game boom during 80's-90's. I still did plenty of playing outdoors. I still play video games but I also Mt. Bike and play softball whenever possible. Blaming video games for childhood obesity is like tying to blame gun manufacturers for all the murders in the world. I totally agree with you flow. It is all about the parents. I was not blaming the video gamin or computer industries. My sons did both in moderation. They still were active outside.

Dude, seriously, who in the hell has time to play video games? 50+ at the office and at least 30 working at home per week. I don't feel like playing no damn games after that! LOL

I've cut waaaay back! The chores do not stop when you've got a place that was not taken care of at all for over two years! It gets overgrown fast, neighbors cattle somehow manage to tear up fences (on two sides) and overgraze it and tear chit up all over the place, barns, sheds, tack rooms, and feed barns start falling apart, equipment starts to deteriorate, etc etc etc! I'm not hiring out chit as long as my back stays good and I've got two good arms and legs..........and a 12 year old son who can outwork a lot of adults when he has a mind to! LOL Cost too much and you cannot trust anybody to do what they are supposed to do unless you are right along side of them doing it with them and that is a fact! Besides, it is a huge stress relief to come home and just go outside and sweat for at least 3 hours every evening..........and it is damn satisfying when you do it yourself and it is done right and looks nice!
