The Greek is going in big on Calallen. I Mean big.
The Greek also like what he saw with Carrol. The Greek thinks 4-6 is reasonable. Those loses will not be ugly.

Well it sounds like others perspective of Cal is they have no speed, overrated runnings backs, skill players that aren’t very good. What they have is a big line that opens up holes for all of their slow skill players to get through. LMAO GTFOH! Hit me back up at the end of the season we can revisit this talk.

Would you confidently compare this years team to the teams from4-6 years ago. Would you compare this years team to the one that lost in the second round last year. As much as you’d like to believe they dominated Carroll last night, they didn’t. I hope I’m wrong I’d love to see them make a deep playoff run.

I never once said Cal dominated Carroll in the scrimmage. Never even hinted at that. I take a scrimmage for what it’s worth, working kids and positions. I complimented Carroll on their QB and receivers. I thought the QB looked sharp and made some good throws, the kid can play. I’m not sure where to put this Cal team in comparison to others. I won’t have an idea until the games start. I do think it’s going to be a different deal though because I saw very little Wing T. I saw a bubble screen and don’t recall Cal ever running that before. I believe we’ll see much more passing out of this squad than recent years.

Why go away from what you know. 30+ years running the same offense with success.

RBs can be good and still be overrated. You have been a Calallen fan your entire life I'm guessing so you know how good your O-line play is and the huge holes they open up. Do you think if you stuck your RBs on Ray's squad they would still be getting the accolades they get at the end of the season and the same yards and TDs?. If you say yes you are lying to yourself. Miller has a 3rd string RB that would be getting 2k+ yards running behind your line in that scheme. And that's not to say none of your RBs have ever been studs just on their own. That last Price brother created a ton of extra yards all on his own just with those awesome juke moves he had. But at the scrimmage for example I saw one of your current RB lower his body into a smaller DB that was diving for his feet and dive to the ground with the play ending right there. Why? Because it looks tough? He could have hurdled that small DB trying to dive at his ankles and gotten 20 more yards and into the endzone. And THAT'S the difference between a good RB and a great RB.

They can just pass out of the Wing-t... but they don't. Maybe they will this season.

Good grief man…….no one said anyone dominated in this scrimmage and they shouldn’t say that about any scrimmage. Because it’s a fricken scrimmage. There is so much going on in these things , it eventually makes fools out of people who try to predict future success or demise of one certain team because of them. I recall hack in 2016 (remember that year?) we looked like straight our trash against Ray and Rockport and then a week later in our first real game, we escaped Mercedes 14-7. How did that end up several weeks later when we played Ray in a real game in District and a few weeks later played Mercedes again? I’ve learned a long time ago with Calallen you never compare a current team with another one from teams past. I don’t care if one team comes back with 45 returning lettermen the next, it’s still different from last year.. This team will gel in due time. It has a coaching staff of familiar faces and it’s no where close to be the demise that that CCwarcats and the Chinos of the area are predicting or wishing.

Nobody is predicting you will have 0-10 teams in the future. Nobody is even saying you won't maybe still go 10-0 this season. But you are lying to yourself if you look at what Calallen has been the last few years and think it's just another typical Calallen dominant era. It hasn't been the same and anyone can see it.
