Pay attention to the last part for some clues.

Very interesting, I suspect that offense will open up alittle more. They def stayed in the spread more last year working diff things. It may help having a year where the starting QB is the same guy from start to finish. I think we’ll see that ironed out. There are a lot of holes to fill it on this team.

So some change is comming on Offense. It's possible... Don't see it like we are going full spread or something like that. And who knows if it will be immediate or over time.

I don't see what the problem would be. You ran it full time the first time you went to state under Chambless and had some of your best teams ever when Duke was running the spread. I don't like the spread as something that's just run part-time though. If you're gonna run it then run it all the time especially in the sub-varsities where you need to start developing the WRs and passing QBs.

We do need to focus on passing much earlier in the sub varsities down to the middle school. I just don't expect us to become a traditional spread team.

Funny first time Calallen has seen change in FOREVER. Not much but some change.

Offensively when Cal first went to it they moved the ball well had beat some really good teams doing that. Then they started mixing it up from spread to wing t and it threw teams off for awhile. Last few years O has been productive but seems to sputter out late into the season. I’m sure Coach D had his reasons and it could be personnel related meaning the type of kids he’s had. Last year Cal was in the spread way more than usual and it looked like the Coaches were trying new things. If they can find a couple of kids to throw to which I think they have, well it’s gonna be interesting.

He seems excited to be the guy now, good for him! That’s a loyal dude and more than deserving of the opportunity.

Indeed. This would be six home games which makes up for last seasons 3 1/4 games at home. Lol recall we had to finish the Miller game on the road thanks to a never ending thunderstorm. And considering the three road trips are 1 1/2 to 2 hours one way, it’s a good trade off. Who knows if we find that elusive non district game to fill the gap between GP and the Bluff might afford a seventh if it’s a team willing to travel to fill their schedule.
