So, how 'bout them Bears? Looks like GP is the formum favorite to win the DC. I'm guessing that's considering their returning players including the QB which is a major consideration in HS football. I can see that reasoning. Just don't count the Hornets out. With key personnel changes FB may take a couple or three games to mesh but I have faith they will get there pretty quick.

Wondering if going to the Valley district is better than staying with the CC teams? Better competition and better coached teams? I know the travel will be hard but playing in nice stadiums against teams that have heart will be great. GP and FB definitaly will help round out the Valley teams in district play and they will enjoy the new competition. I like the new district.

Almost the whole Defensive seconday is gone. 4 line men on O gone. Lots of holes to fill and lots of new yound faces for GP. Hopefully the work ethic and program grind will put some good players in those holes.

CCISD schools that have 5A2 enrollments are awful. With the exception of Miller. Look at the info on Pigskin Prep and you will see that Ray, Carroll, King and Moody are near or at the bottom of the rankings in D1. But when you look at the actual metric those fall in almost the exact same spots in D2. GP and FB will be better prepared for the playoffs in this new district than if CCISD hadn't opted everyone up for Vet's

Cant make it up.

Cant make it up. Not really helping the one when you think about it. Vet's playing this Powder Puff schedule sets them up for a lot of wins. Only to be exposed badly in the playoffs ,yet again and adding to the mystique of the States most Overrated Program.

FIXED IT FOR YOU.

I had the impression GP had more coming back. Davis lists 7 on offense and 5 on defense back..28 lettermen back; 21 lost...8-2 JV team coming up The D has some really talented players coming back. Gholsby, Soto, Mitchell and Guevara had outstanding seasons and will be even better this year. Harrison is a great athlete who played TE last year but started at LB as a freshman. He could go both ways this year. The JV team was 8-2 and I believe they were District Champs. The season can't get here soon enough!!

FIXED IT FOR YOU. It wasn't broken but thanks. Now answer how many wins vs Carroll, King, Moody and Ray. These represent the lower third of teams in 5A. PERIOD. Vet's is OVERRATED.

Thinking Harrison will play outside LB as both GP inside LBs are comming back. Who knows. He also will be a reciever at 6'3" and possibly a RB also. Hes got so big since last year as everyone has put in the work this offseason. Davis changea season to season to compliment what tallent he has. GP returns a heck of a running back in Batts and Gholsby gave some offenses fits at the end position. Lots of holes to fill but lots returning. Davis should have the right players filling in and ready.

Lots of play makers on both sides coming back… if even 5 of the 22 are playmakers… and the 17 others are at least decent… you’ve got yourself a deep playoff run.
