OK, so the only other common opponent to look at is Ray. Really? You want to compare that when Ray is obviously really bad? lmao That would be a huge mistake because different coaches coach differently when they have an opponent completely outclassed. I have no doubt that to this point ccvm has played the tougher schedule but it isn't by much. Take NBC out and then it is basically even up and I don't need to remind you what happened against NBC, right? I've never said that ccvm can't beat Miller and neither has anyone else. We've said the Miller is the favorite and is going to be our pick to win the game and they will win unless they poop the bed There is literally a post just a few posts up that states "Vets is not going to beat Miller". LOL So nobody has said that? uhhhh..... And you can't pre-excuse them by saying "unless they shitz the bed"... that's taking away from Vets should Vets win. LOL Can't play both sides. Play one side hard. Say Miller will beat Vets, and stand by it. Heck, both Vets and Miller could be looking ahead and get knocked out this week. Moody has beaten Miller when they weren't supposed to in the recent past. It Moody beats Miller this Friday it will snow in Corpus on Saturday.

Vets matches up well with Miller due to a few things like style of play and depth. Get a track meet going and Vets has more fresh bodies. I think Miller is the better team, and that they win, but I also think it's closer than people think, 42-31 / 45-35, something of the sort.
I like Miller. They are one of my favorite teams in the area, I hope they win a state championship. But El Campo is the best team they've played, and they really aren't that good. EC also had a long TD called back - penalty was 25 yards behind Owens - they had 3 fumbles and still ended up with almost 400 yards of total offense and 29 points. I'm not 100% set on Millers defense.
Miller HAS won the games they are suppose though, and Vets has not. As far as eye test goes, I think Miller is better. But I'm not ready to claim them as unbeatable after their wins have come against 5 crappy teams, and 1 decent team in Week 2.
But CCWarcat, you do understand why everyone thinks Miller is better right? I know everyone just hates Vets, but Vets has looked everything from inconsistent to down right bad at times. No one knows who this years Vets is yet, and with these horrid districts, we aren't gonna know until the playoffs. Gotta give Miller a significant edge right now.

The El Campo game was a bad game for Vets. It was a 27-14 loss. And even though the Eagles had nearly 300 yards rushing in that game, it was the passing game that wasn't up to standard. Only 37% completions for 124 yards, with 2 pick 6's. That's no bueno. But look at the rest of the games, including the NB Canyon loss... NBC needed the entire clock and a 2pt conversion with no time left to win. The Eagles have been averaging right at 600 yards on offense since the slow start. The offense was the question mark. The offense has responded. The defense is still playing Vets-type of defense. Many on here aren't looking at real stats/facts, and maybe just looking at a couple of receivers running wide open and a running back running wild... and being wowwed by it. I say... But against who? That Miller defense is still giving up yards and points... even against not-so-great (or bad) teams. There are signs pointing towards alot of "surprised" fans on here... but it should be no surprise at all.

I agree with everything you say here including that the ccvm/miller game will be close. I in no way believe Miller is going to just have their way. I think it will be a 7-14 point miller win and further more the higher the over/under gets the better chance of ccvm winning the game I believe. Also to add to El Campo on what you said. I too think they are good but not great. I do think they have all the pieces to be outstanding including the speed and good size up front. Whether or not they put it all together remains to be seen but there is still time.

And I'm sorry that this thread got hijacked. Can a mod move the non-D2 comments out of this thread and into a more appropriate thread?

The eye test shows Miller playing defense along with special teams. Can you explain Vets playing a LESS than stellar effort? Maybe they pick it up. I wouldn’t expect Miller not to improve too. I’m ready to watch this game It's under 2 weeks away. And if Vet's or Miller are looking too far ahead (like you are) one may have a loss before that game gets here. It would be absolutely Shocking. But Possible.

There is literally a post just a few posts up that states "Vets is not going to beat Miller". LOL So nobody has said that? uhhhh..... There is a difference between won't, and can't. Look it up. I say they won't beat Miller BECAUSE miller is the better team this year! And you can't pre-excuse them by saying "unless they shitz the bed"... that's taking away from Vets should Vets win. LOL Can't play both sides. Play one side hard. Say Miller will beat Vets, and stand by it. Why can't I? You do it EVERY, SINGLE time Vets don't vets, right? Heck, both Vets and Miller could be looking ahead and get knocked out this week. Moody has beaten Miller when they weren't supposed to in the recent past. If either team gets knocked off this week than they aren't winning the region. Just stop it man. The rest of the district is BAD!C'mon Clem, You know if you have any Opinion other than Vet's is the Greatest team of all time you are just a hater.

District is starting to take shape so far. Mercedes is comming to GP for homecomming this week. Should be a fun game. GP has a ton of offensive weapons out as of now. Not sure on time lines to return back on the field for these players. With that being said the GP D has had two shutouts in district play and 3 over all. GP has not had a home game in 4 weeks of play since Boerne. Bringing home a game will be good for GP as a team. Mercedes IMO is the 3rd best team in district. They should be fired up and gunning for an upset.
