When did these standards change? 26 All-District players on 1 team? Every starter is guaranteed an All District honor?

It varies by district but I know this district votes on 1st and 2nd team honors and then Coaches nominate players for Honorable Mention which does not require a vote. So basically a coach can nominate every player on the roster who doesn't get selected by vote for 1st or 2nd team for Honorable Mention if they choose to do so and they are guaranteed that designation.

I agree I think the players that were not selected 1st or 2nd team but were nominated for all-district by their coach for that position and just out-voted by the other coaches should be the only ones on the honorable mention list and even at that there should only be a couple kids at each position listed on the honorable mention list. Handing out trophies and ribbons has gotten ridiculous! Hell, my wife told me she had 3rd grade kids coming to school with championship rings for little league! SMDH
