if i recall when my daughter graduated from THE BLUFF 70%plus had a 95 or above gpa, plus the millions the kids collected for scolies. THE BLUFF has come a long way from the early 70s and 80s.

if i recall correctly, UT did petition legislature and requested to have their percentage lowered from the statewide 10% down to 8% because of the overflow of admissions. but to my knowledge, i've never heard anything about A&M following suit. If UT took my ill-prepared for college a$$, they should take anyone!! I would make a 2.0 during football season and then a 4.0 in the spring to bring it up...lol. I just couldn't believe that at the Bluff, the 50 or so kids in the top 10% all have 100+ GPA's... My middle son was #1 in his class since middle school in Granite City, IL and Fort Campbell, KY. When I retired from the Army and moved to Flour Bluff after his Sophomore year, he was #15 in his class when he arrived. He graduated in 2006 at #9 out of his class. The AP courses give the honors students that boost over 100 GPA.

When I graduated from HS my brother asked me if they seated us academically or alphabetically. (My last name starts with "R") I told him that I would have been in the same seat either way ;D

When I was at VHS back in the day I wasn't even in the Top 10% with a 99 average. I could have gone to Stroman and easily been Top 10% ;D

Maybe I should move the family to the Miller district so I can ensure a top 10% or 8% of their class for my kids. My daughter has a 98 average and is ranked # 60 in her class which puts her in about the top 12% at FB. I know of a few students who have left FB to CCISD to make sure they get their shot at UT or A&M. bring her to calallen along with jr hehehe

Sorry C5, I think it's just to (no) two (no) too late to worry about the nouns becoming verbs etc. Seems like the English language started to become a parity of it's self during the valivictorian age.

Whoooooosh. that was the sound of your post going completely over some folks heads on here. We need a parity mod for the parody posts on here. Maybe we can find a vulvavictorian somewhere to help out.
