You are 100% correct. Campbell will be one heck of a head coach when he decides to do so. He is also 100% loyal to Danaher, as are all of his coaches. I played for Danaher and against him, even went to church with the man. It's hard not to be loyal to a coach that has a proven system, but even more so a man that actually cares about and remembers his people and athletes, no matter what their role was. I have no doubts when Coach D decides to call it a career and if Campbell is interested, the vacancy would be shortest allowed by law if it has to be posted. No doubt there. but Campbell isn't exactly a spring chicken. I could see him retiring when Danaher does.

I think many of us would love to see him to take the job even it were a five year stint as sort of transitionary period. It's been done in the past, but It's awfully tough for a complete outsider to come in and replace a legend unless they are on the road to being a legend themselves. And those are not out there in the dozens.
