As much as I like the optimism and would love to see the coyotes winning a district title ... I predict another typical 3rd or 4th place finish and a 1st / 2nd round playoff loss at best

Despite losing Guzman (QB), Salaiz (RB), & Sanchez (MLB) to graduation. We have the team to get there we have a WR Corp, O-Line, D-Line, & Secondary coming back. If we find an QB, RB & ILB and hopefully if there’s depth where the kids are gonna answer the voids then we’re ready.

More likely since the Alice faithful won’t see an upperclassmen starting at the QB spot. So Camarillo is gonna have to take advantage of that QB spot & mature in 2021.

I don't think he'll be one of those sophomores that has a sophomore mentality. He'll give it his all.

He could be the starter for the next 3 years at Alice, If he Improves each year.... Watch out in 2023 when he's a senior. If a Senior starts then it's 1 year and you are back to finding a QB again next season. a Junior would be more the norm for most teams. But I like the Soph better.

I see this years coyote team turning the program around with the YOUNG talent they have. The senior class is great and they will have a lot of help from the junior and sophomores who are always at the top of their districts. The 7v7 team is just a glimpse of what is coming. Not only can Camarillo pass the ball, he can run it just as well as any other running back. No one will come close to Andrew body, but he might make a name for himself just like he did. I got coyotes beating calallen at HOME!!

I got coyotes beating calallen at HOME!! I went to a 7on7 qualifier Friday in College Station. The first time I have been able to see one. From what I saw I put even less stock into that comparing to how good a team will be than I did before. It Equates better to 6 man football than 11 man. There's no way a HS QB can make 5 reads in the 4 seconds he has to throw the ball. even when he has nobody putting any pressure on him. On a 45 yard playing surface theirs not enough room for a long pass. Most everything was a dump off to the outside. Passes to the EZ were overthrown and passes over the middle were intercepted. It's a glorified offseason workout at best and cost parents a lot of money. had several from Waco, Temple and Richmond complaining about the drive and money it cost for their kid to participate. On the good side it was something football ISH to watch.

I picked Coyotes @ #3 but think they could get the 2 spot depending on how well they can defend PLC.
Calallen is winning the district again this year.......just too much returning talent for them not to IMO.

A few of the kids back on defense are flat out nasty, defense should be very tough. Offense has some real good players back as well. We might see a Cal team thats better on both sides of the ball than last year. Hopefully the chemistry is there.
