It looks like consecutive district win #100 might come against #8 Mansfield Timberview in Aledo. Burleson, Everman and Joshua have an opportunity to end the streak before Timberview.

I see really no chance of either of the 1st 3 stopping that century count. Timberview has serious talent but I just don't think that they will do it either. Aledo will come out with their hair on fire to get the win streak to triple digits!

With a program as good as Aledo has It would seem (to me) that most games prior to the playoffs would be just to watch them destroy the opponent, knowing most if not all are as close to guaranteed wins as you can get. Honestly, you dont go to watch the final score. You go to see how the team competes and watch each position group get better throughout the year. If Aledo did not take each team seriously then we would have been caught by now and lost our streak. When you know Aledo will come to play each Friday then its fun. Its ridiculous to say but no one is satisfied with what our program has achieved. There is always work to be done.Β To me, that is what makes them successful. You guys have the entire community bought in. If everyone has the mindset of there is always work to be done, that makes you improve. Like so many great coaches have said, there is never a "perfect" game. Someone drops a pass, someone gets tackled, someone misses a key. Always something to fix. You have to keep a mindset like that when you have district opponents that couldn't find their way out of a paper bag with scissors and a blow torch. Keeping those kids motivated and working takes the entire community, not just the coaches. Aledo is a different breed, but they've worked hard to be there.

Aledo has put in the work and deserves all the success they have gotten and the accolades that come with them. I'm looking at it merely from a casual fan stand point of watching huge blowouts week in and week out for as long as Aledo has been doing it. Just seems like it would get boring knowing there is no competition until the playoffs come around.

This is going to sound strange but as long as the parents "allow" the coaches to coach we will continue being in the hunt. The coaches do a great job year after year to challenge the team. Knowing we dont have player x, y, or z anymore means that someone else needs to step up. So its not difficult to keep that workman like mindset.

From a casual or neutral fans standpoint there are more exciting programs to follow from week to week.
