Since I've been up here I've seen this team quite a bit. 2019 was horrible. Went to a game just before district started that season and they could not get lined up properly on offense. This was at least three weeks into the season. I actually left at Halftime. And I never leave a game before the end. Of course hey were nowhere near the playoffs. 2020 they actually made the playoffs. don't know how they turned it around but I expect them to do that again this season. They have some good young players coming back to build off of and to be honest , Other than Temple, There is not any teams that they don't have a good chance of beating. Problem with making the playoffs they face off with Cedar Hills district in the first round.

The entire district is trash, 4A d1 top 10 can beat everybody in our district except Temple.

They are good teams and would beat a lot of 6A's. This is a District that leaves something to be desired. Can't be confused with the tough districts throughout 6A. You coming to Bryan this year. Would like to meet you if possible.

Not too sure what to make out of this district with the expectation that Temple is the sure favorite to win the District Championship. Biggest Question for them is can they make it three rounds into the playoffs.
I like what Bryan is bringing back. Seems like they are bringing back a good core group to build off of. I like them to take the second spot in the playoff but their season will end in the first round.
As for everyone else I have no idea.

Hh, I don't think talent has ever been an issue at Bryan as they always seem to have some size and speed. Maybe they can get it going and compete at a higher level.....it would be nice to see for sure. No doubt in my little mind that Temple has to be huge favorites to run the table in district play.

In order for Temple to get to the 3rd round they probably are gonna have to get by Rockwall-Heath in the 2nd round. which they are ranked #11. And we all know how Spradlin turn around teams. Also the 56-28 score is a little deceiving. That was Temple's worse game of the season. Temple got to the one yard line twice, Some how the center forgot how to center the ball and both times centered the ball over the QB's head and lost about 10 yards. And our never miss kicker missed both Field goals. Dropped 2 sure TD'S, Just an awful game. So Temple has all the tools to get by Heath. I think Temple is around 15-20 range. Temple was already gonna be good, but now they got 3 move-ins that are gonna play big roles, funny thing all 3 are from Temple to start with and came back home.

Clem I've been watching them, Rudder and both the CS Schools for a couple years now. Bryan does indeed have some talent. Last year the made the playoffs and it really surprised me because the year before that they were awful. So while I expect the Vikings to make the playoffs if they completely fell apart I wouldn't be completely shocked. What I am looking for most is some Consistency. Bryan Rudder has been improving every year since I have watching them. It has been very small steps and doesn't really reflect it the record yet. but the product on the field has gotten better. I'm still waiting on their first ever playoff appearance.

Heights will have a very high powered offense similar to Shoemakers last yeqr but their defense is what holds them back. Belton is loaded across the board, look to be a state contender but we know Belton always chokes. Bryan is well ...Bryan they compete year in year out and are always pretty good.

They were not that great when they didn't lose talent to LBHS. Now they will be worse. They probably struggle making playoffs.

Belton's Offensive Line Depth: Sr. Ryan Hunt 6'5-305 Sr. Scotty Butler 6'3-295 Sr. Tristan Wolff 6'4-260 Jr. Robert Trent 6'5-280 Jr. Zachary Erickson 6'3-275 Jr. Jasper Werry 6'5-255 Jr. Jackson Werry 6'5-240 What I'm getting at is they have the size and capability of a potential state appearance team but Belton always chokes. Look at that 03 Belton team that had 3 or 4 all staters with 3 going to major d1 schools and playing with RT winning a natty at UT. Belton could have 12 D1 athletes and still find a way to choke in the 1st or 2nd round.

Belton is big and slow for the most part. Speed kills them, That is why Shoemaker and other Killeen schools are closing in on them now able to beat them or come close. Of course every team at some point have talent and make a run. Belton has few and far between. They have had few teams in the past that have been really good, but never state material. Look at Desoto, Duncanville, Cedar Hill. Look at the nauseating talent they all have every yr and all the D1 talent they have. They more than not don't win state. Duncanville just recently have made noise, but they have always had alot of D1 guys, and not made noise Belton doesn't even come close to their talent ever.
