Does he have family in the Uvalde area? That's what I heard. Or it's closer to family.

The Uvalde area has a lot more pros than cons if a coach is looking to for a place to retire out in the sticks. If he can get them where they are competitive and play above .500 ball , they might keep him long enough for him to do just that.

Does he have family in the Uvalde area? His wife’s family, from what I read on the KRIS 6 sports website

Wow well good for him but that sucks for TM. Back to square one again for that T-M football program & at the same token, I didn’t expect this news at all but I’m happy for Coach Miller on getting named Uvalde HC not just him & his family. I know he’ll be spending the rest of the offseason drawing up 1,000 offensive sets (Wishbone, Double Wing, I-Form) at the Frio River, Concan or whatever they call it nowadays.

It’ll take Coach Miller time to get Uvalde Coyote Football back to the glory days like they were back from the 60’s & 80’s including a State Title in ‘72, I believe Coach Miller will turn that program around if the players buy in his philosophy

Happy for Coach Miller if that's what he wants but sad for TM players to lose him.

I am disappointed and TM was gaining steam and getting more competitive.

Evans would never take the TM job.

I think the last two Coaches at T-M have done a nice job of getting the Warriors more competitive. Boone and Miller were solid coaches from what I saw. Hope T-M finds someone that can pick up where they left off and continue to improve. Some will say their records weren't good and that is true but the Toughness and Grit the Players showed on the field was markedly improved as time went on.

Some will say their records weren't good and that is true but the Toughness and Grit the Players showed on the field was markedly improved as time went on. This is truly disappointing for TM. I do not blame Miller for leaving for Uvalde though. He will have them competitive way faster than TM. That Uvalde community wants winners and wants consistency. That was what he was trying to get TM to buy into. Uvalde just got 10 times better with this hire. The community will buy into his philosophy and the kids will follow, and Uvalde will be very good once again. TM on the other hand I hope will go all in with a quality hire. That is not usually their MO though. With the exception of Talbert, Crawford, Boone, and Miller they usually find the least expensive option and don't care as long as they promise to beat Calallen they will get the job. I really hope they get a guy in there that will take the foundations that Boone and Miller rebuilt and expand. Teach the boys what sportsmanship is and not the old TM dirty play of oh well we are losing might as well start fighting, biting, low blowing, and unclassy...
