I'll LH looked great in their 1st year but it was a senior led team plus tons of emotion and motivation were taken into account, that being said. I believe they can do great as long as they are disciplined and believe fully in their play style.....but of course more speed could go a long way to help them. LH has always been able to reload but all that depends on who the next head coach will be and if they can get the right players in the right spots

Made it to the State Semifinals! Enough said.

I think so. You all won’t be moving down, so get used to 5A as your home for awhile. Ten years from now you might be 6A the way Austin is growing.

I’d say LH more than belongs. I also agree with growth in that area they will be 6a eventually.

Liberty Hill likely has 3 more years in 5A D2, and will be a player for all of that time. Could easily go to 6A after that, so better enjoy it while it lasts.

I think they are a major player in their D2 region.

Absolutely they are...where LH has to improve is at the LOS...plenty of athletes but smallish on the Oline and Dline. Aledos Oline and Dline put on a clinic vs Crosby..Our big uns up front wouldve had their way with any team from reg. 3 or 4...FACTS!!

I think they are a major player in their D2 region. I'd say they held their ground pretty solidly in the semis against the best that R3 could offer up this season. I don't see them going anywhere the next few years except for 6a.

They went undefeated in district. The question is not if they can play 5A-D2 but if they can play 5A-D1?

They went undefeated in district. The question is not if they can play 5A-D2 but if they can play 5A-D1? They will be able to shortly... at least size wise. Maybe not the 22-23 alignment, but definitely 24-25. In fact it wouldn’t surprise me if they only spent one alignment in 5a D1 one alignment... as fast as they are growing! Unless they start building another HS! My wife and I took a drive up North on Ronald Regan and they are building developments like crazy and all are saying LH ISD!

I’m not sure I understand why this would be in doubt. They were a 2 point conversion away from playing in the State Finals, of course they belong. I wouldn’t be shocked, however if they’re in 5A Div 1 in the next realignment and then in 6A immediately after that. Like some of you said, the growth out there is nuts.

I’m not sure I understand why this would be in doubt. They were a clean hand-off away from playing in the State Finals, of course they belong. I wouldn’t be shocked, however if they’re in 5A Div 1 in the next realignment and then in 6A immediately after that. Like some of you said, the growth out there is nuts. Fixed it for you.

I keep thinking in my head how awsome it would have been to take on the top dog in D2 our first year in and see how they faired, AledoAlumni what do you think the result would have been?

They went undefeated in district. The question is not if they can play 5A-D2 but if they can play 5A-D1? That district is not full of world-beaters. Except for one year with Red Oak, SOC goes undefeated every year in district - because their district is not good. The Regions with the most quality teams shift year over year. Aledo was the best team in Region 1 by a wide margin for years. Then Aledo moved to Region 2 and Rider and Cooper became the dominant teams in that Region, even if they wouldn't have been dominant on a state level (except maybe last year's Cooper team). Some years there are stacked Regions and in others, the wealth is spread. I didn't see Region 4 as a threat this year. LH had a great first year in 5A-D2 and a big factor was coming out of a Region that is the weakest this year. I saw a lot of chatter about LH's Slot-T, however, Frisco runs a similar Wing-T with a significantly better o-line and Aledo was able to contain them.
