I bet Westlake is right back in this game next year. Prolly alittle stronger on offense and not as strong on defense but right back in the big one.

Yeah, HP and SLC are just as wealthy (maybe more) than Westlake, but I don’t see that behavior out of those teams. Almost every team has a player or two like that, just seemed like WL had mire than their fair share. HP is old money Dallas and can’t grow much because it’s foot print is small . Westlake was the first wealthy Burb in Austin before the growth directed some of the wealth to Round Rock and Leander with a huge chunk of it going to the west of them to Lake Travis. Dripping Springs toward Liberty Hill is next. SLC is just like HP as far as demo, just more cookie cutter housing and Starbucks. If you thought WL was cocky, LT says hi. Does the name Baker Mayfield ring a bell? Yes, I’m very familiar with all those places. Plus Lovejoy, Argyle, Alamo Heights and to a lesser extent a few others likeProsper and Pockets of Frisco. We spend more time in HP than Southlake, but my family goes to both fairly regularly.

As long as Salazar is the DC he will have a top 3 defense in the state! Look at that defense he had in 2019 and I believe he lost 7 starters from that team that killed GUyer in the finals! WL is flat rolling right now and will be a top 5 team in TX for the next few years.

WL very well may reload on defense, in my opinion WL had the best defense in the state this year.
