If you or a college recruiter , would you recruit a HS player who kneeled for the National Anthem?

If you or a college recruiter , would you recruit a HS player who kneeled for the National Anthem? I think as a Scout you have to find the best players no matter what they do. As long as their Grades are good, they have not been in any trouble with the law or have a record and they can play. You have to give them a favorable recommendation. Whether you agree with Kneeling or not. Personally I am not in Favor of Kneeling. I am a Veteran, That is my reason that I dislike the practice. And I will not support those that do not support Veterans. But if It were my JOB to find players. I have to be able to separate personal feelings from the Job.

I would respect their beliefs on another team. You want Unity on your team. You want all patriots on your team and not some gullible teen that falls for whatever the Media puts out. It grows and you have a situation like UT has with changing the school song or mascot. Wear your earrings elsewhere but not at practice or a game. You want the self absorbed players on the other side of the ball and not on your team. You shell out all those dollars, you want focus on winning.

Coaches want the best players they can get and will set the ground rules for his program. They will either allow players to protest or not as a team or individual while maintaining the team appearances they want. If they cannot, they may need to find another profession. It's a new era. Young people have more rights and more of a voice than I did growing up.

Unforently we have passed the point of no return on a player's talent vs their mental maturity/emotional stability/discipline record at the college and pro level. (probably since the mid '90s)
Coaches want/need to win or they are getting fired from their annually million dollar plus gigs. Coaches will take a chance on a questionable player as long as they can produce on the field. If one coach takes a pass they know another will pick the player up.
I'm old but still think you should have to check certain personal/political beliefs at the office door/sports arena.
