It’s crazy man. Just learned that Harlan HS in San Antonio NISD just had to forfeit to Laredo United due to Covid outbreak.

Are those not schools experiencing COVID? Hmmmmm interesting 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣... My daughter's school had to go virtual for the rest of the semester at least as an entire family got it there the kids were 7th grade down to kinder. They then passed it to several other kids in their "pod" class and then 2 of the teachers of those students got it.

Our district has multiple student and multiple staff cases but are doing the right thing and following strict protocols in dealing with it. Any district that says they are not being affected is either a very tiny school district or is flat out lying at this point.

Although the tiny schools definitely have cases that I am tracking. Several 6 man schools have had several cases despite strict protocols too. It's definitely spreading in schools as you stated.

My wife's school has about 7 or 8 cases right now and 5 belong to kids. There are many others that are out due to their protocol any student or faculty member having to quarantine for 14 days when you have been near anyone who has tested positive. I heard on the news this morning that there will be about 225k doses of the vaccine in Texas in about 2 weeks. So, if you do the math that is about .7% of the population of Texas and will not even get our health care workers their first of two vaccinations in this state. We are a long, long ways from containing this thing through vaccinations!

This COVID stuff is crazy though. One of Cove's elementary essays closed down Friday due to COVID. Two KISD schools also closed for the rest of the year due to COVID outbreaks too...

Oh, I hear ya loud and clear on the vaccine and agree on that. This is a dangerous virus for sure. One of my wife's co-worker's BIL passed away from it just yesterday up in Austin. He was 44 years old and had NO pre-existing conditions. I had it and was blessed to have not had any major problems while a good friend my age (early 50s) who is damn sure physically in better condition than myself, and who had a lot less issues than I had to worry about struggled to get over it for 3 weeks and is still hacking badly and now it's been 4 weeks. It simply affects everyone differently and there is no doubt that the older you are the worse it will likely be and any pre-existing conditions can greatly affect that as well but the bottom line is it can KILL anyone and the person next to them barely even has a symptom.
