Well, gonna be a hard one for GP. 1st game of the year vs Cal’s 3rd game. Playing at cal. Cal bound to be strong favorite. Hoping the boys from GP come out firing on on cylinders and pull off the upset.

How did the scrimmage go Friday night? Our scouts just said GP didn’t look to have the size they’ve had the last few years.

I think some things might look a little different For Calallen after the bye week. After what has been a less than normal pre-district that Coaching Staff will leave no stone unturned to make the TEAM better. Could be moving players around a bit, to different play calling, Opening up the playbook (I don't think they have to this point). Whatever it is I expect positive results.

I'm thinking we might be a tad rusty thanks to the off week. The Coastal Bend needs a strong GP football program, year in and year out.

When the school board and the mentality of the people in charge changes then maybe we will see a gradual change. Winning and playoffs are a thing of the past.

This makes me sad to hear. The Calallen/GP rivalry has had some great excitement and energy over the years. I would love to see GP successful and competitive again.

NO excuses, GP has had months to prepare for this game and the highest paid coach in the district who has been to the finals a number of times. 5th year at GP and supposed to motivate the players. Win or apologies to team and fans.

GP has 3 returning Quarterbacks and 2 or more good Running backs. They have one or more receivers. They have the talent to make the playoffs.

Calallen is tough and playing their 4th game. The kids will play hard and give great effort. That's all we can ask as fans.

I didn’t say they were fans. They are football coaches employed by Calallen ISD. My understand from Danaher is they were in person since they called him discussing it Friday night. Don’t most schools have coaches who scout games and scrimmages?

You didn’t answer the question, how did your scouts say it went? None of us were allowed to attend.
