Yeah, You are a legend in your own mind. Tell you what POPS. Since you are always right. Give me the record at the end of the season of every team in 4A-1 D 15, 4A-2 D15 and 5A-1 D15. We will find out just how right you and all your football books are.

Me and Rodney Dangerfield just can't get any respect. HoundingHound I am a very busy man and don't have time to look up records .I refer you to Maxpreps for those records as you can take time out from agitating people and see for your self.
Teachable moment. previous post HoundingHound WFcoyote PLC is run first offense and Clem chimed in you only pass when you have too. Coach Morris Southall OC at Brownwood was a run first offense and passed often. He did not wait until he had to and was successful in winning many state titles. Coach Morriss Southall is only assistant Coach to become head of Texas Coaching Association. He passed from the Wing-T and did not change to Shotgun or spread to pass. He coached his 3 sons at QB and all 3 are in the Texas Hall of Fame. When you wait until you have to and everyone in the stadium knows you are going to pass and change from the Wing-T or option to Shotgun, here comes the pass rush or blitz. You want to keep the defense off balance and on their heels. Pass on first down every now and then.
"We never won a state title that we did not have a strong defense". Coach Gordon Wood.

I have placed a lot of importance in the past on Playoff experience. Coach Justin Evans of Miller and Coach Michael Troutman of Sinton both lack playoff experience.

If you have only 1 full year of hc experience, yeah but Troutman's team did get to 3rd round in his first year. He was a coach in Klein Collins that made some playoff runs especially in 2016 they went 5 rounds losing to DeSoto.

The playoffs are a new season and a million things to consider along with what a player say to interviewing sports reporter. Over practicing players when it is time to cut back practice.

You are not to busy to come on here and tell everybody what Calhoun and Calallen are thinking. When in Reality you have no freaking Idea. You want respect... Show some and it will be returned. And I said predict the records for the districts indicated, since you are always right they should perfectly match at the end of the season.

Since Coach Whitaker got to Calhoun in 2005 they have never lined up in the shotgun or pistol. Not for even 1 play.

Rockport-Fulton Pirates Offensive Line!! The Pirates had all 3 Running Backs run for over 100 yards in a big victory at home vs. State Ranked #5 C.C. Miller! Brian Cunningham (JR) Ean McPherson (JR) Christian Jolley (Sr) Logan McClennan (Soph) Jarred Solis (JR)
Next up for R-F is Flour Bluff.

DCTF: Stock Down
Corpus Christi Miller: The Bucs struggled for a half last week against Sinton, but found another gear and blew the Pirates out. That gear wasn’t found this week as Miller was stunned 44-41 in a road loss to Rockport-Fulton. The Buccaneers have an offense that will score on just about anyone, but unless their defense improves this team will not live up to their potential.

IMO this loss by Miller falls squarely at the feet of the HC and his Coaching Staff. They did not have these players ready to play RF. and the players may have been looking ahead to CC Vets. They thought they would just go out there and run their plays and beat RF on sheer talent. Trouble RF was ready to play Miller and someone forgot to tell them they were supposed to lay down. That's why this weeks games are of interest to me (WFC that's me not Calhoun or any other posters). Will Miller play like they are capable and will RF give the Sting a great game. RF now knows they can play with anyone.

Miller is the Mike Leach era Texas Tech like team of this district. They will try to outscore you and will beat teams who try to match them for blow to blow. BUT play a team who can play defense and make at least one stop per quarter for which they turn into points, they will lose. Tech could never beat UT or OUsucks but only a handful of times during that era because the Horns and Land Thieves could match them blow for blow and then make them cash in for mistakes or stops.

I'm not going to discount Miller at all. Not Yet. But this week will tell me a lot about this TEAM. They have probably the most talented players of any team in the district if you look at it position by position. But it seems at this point that they have not figured out the Team concept. Are they Good.. Yes absolutely. Will they go as deep in the playoffs as last year. That remains to be seen. I'm just going to wait and see what happens this week.
