I thought Cal looked pretty good and def made improvements on the defensive side of the ball. We’ve played some very good teams contrary to what some believe. GP is lacking in size in the interior lines and that might be a problem for them. I’m cutting GP a break being that was their first game and Cal had 3 tough games under their belt. GP needs reps and last nights game will make them better. Cal called the dogs off in the third quarter, I’m glad Danaher did that, got some playing time for up and comers. I thought so also. 35-0 and Danaher pulled the dogs. It’s hard to please people. We will never be a throwing team but Danaher sprinkled in a few and we scored on one pass play but someone said our passing looked bad. Well he didn’t need to throw much. That 05 team had a QB in Duke that could run and pass

I’m very curious about the Tivy team we will see next week. They lost Dripping Springs 14-0. Who they lost to doesn’t surprise me, but how they lost.. Or shall I say it was a low scoring game. Tivy usually has the offense to put up numbers on the scoreboard and so does Dripping Springs. I know it was both teams first game after crazy off season and a delay to getting the season going played into this. So it will be interesting if a Tivy offense shows ups . Maybe this will be a true defensive battle.

DS is always tough and the Tivy defense did hold them to 14 points. Hopefully they get their starters back soon.

2 pages of posters dumping on WFCoyote/GP37 and not a creative thought or post in the bunch. While you were doing that, I round trip to Bastrop and ate Retino-Alfredo with Shrimp and had great Tomato Basil Soup. I topped that off by watching UT comeback and win over in over time Texas Tech when I got back. Explain to me why I should worry about what you think of me. When you are putting me down, you are leaving someone else alone. Don't care where you went or what you ate. Or what College kneel for the flag team you watch. You seem to have plenty of free time to answer the questions you have been asked. But you refuse to show any respect for other posters on the board by making drive by post the refusing to answer. But yet you demand respect from everyone else. I can see why you don't get any. Even when some of us try.

I remember I was in my early 20's I had a drunk uncle giving me a hard time. I was always taught to respect my elders, but I told my father I was growing tired of his bs. My dad said son you're a grown man now and you should still show respect, but you don't have to take that from him or anyone else that doesn't respect you in return. Think of 37 as your drunk uncle.

This year we are not running a true spread offense , trying to run the ball more. In the DS game we were missing 2OL and 2RB's before the game. The kid who started at RB sprained his ankle in the 1st qt and never returned so we were really behind the eight ball the whole game. The defense played really well and actually only gave up 1 TD the other score came when they sacked our QB and they returned it for a TD with a minute left in the game. Not sure how many or if any will be back for this game with Calallen. Regardless even at full strength I would favor Cal in this matchup. Until we get everyone back and healthy I think we will continue to struggle.

Tivy may struggle for awhile on offense but I don't think any team within the next 10 games will hold DS to 14 points. Defense may have to carry Tivy until the offense starts clicking.

I saw BC spanked their opponent last week.

I've no doubt Tivy will get it together even with all the new starters offensively. The defense is playing well and should keep you guys in ball games.
