Over on the Football Friday chat... La Vega Fans think this game is in the bag. Typical north of Austin superiority. A Lampasas fan acts like they've been a big dog for decades when they've literally sucked for decades and have just recently showed up. Ugh I hate that app. Last season I was trying to fix a bogus score, but since the app is so laggy I ended up posting the same bogus score that I was trying to fix and I was banned! Totally ridiculous. I guess I’ll be posting commentary on this site now instead of the app. I really hope Cal can pull this off. It’s a close game at halftime. Im going to have to get off the chat or I will get banned for life + 20 years.

Great job Calallen!
And La Vega. Taking on 3 rank teams and now faces the #1 team. Wow. Has to be the toughest schedule.

Passing? Calallen needs to be able to throw the ball or there will never be a State Championship for Danaher.

Yes, indeed LV is impressive and they lost their starting QB and pulled off a win against a very good ball club
I really wanted Calallen to win because they came down from 5a as a powerhouse.
Freaking LV takes on 5a teams that frequent playoffs contenders and makes a huge statement to all teams.
If they take out #1 this coming Friday; their body of work the first four weeks deserves a high five and a double meat hamburger.
Hopefully Sotx takes them out

He’s not badly hurt and will be back for GP game. Plus 2 solid transfers will be eligible to play by GP also. We needed them last week. We’ll be ok.

Disappointed with the loss, but when it looked like we might take it on the chin the kids kept on fighting. A couple brain farts hurt us for sure. I’m watching the Football Friday show on FoX Sw and sure are on the Lampasas bandwagon. I just wish Calallen had thrown a few out passes to back their D out some on the corners. I realize the plan was playing keep away with the ball but just a few would have helped in some key situations. I think we tried to play as close the vest as we could. I expect if there is a rematch down the road, they will certainly see some different stuff. That goes with anyone else on our schedule who we very well may play twice if the brackets dictate it in playoffs.

If anything this might be a game where Coach D might want to get some playing time to some who really haven't had much to date.

This game made me feel a lot better. La Vega is no Aledo, FBM, or CS. If Cal gets another shot, they are gonna roll. With that being said, great game LV! They have some very athletic and skilled kids in the backfield. Disappointed with the loss, but when it looked like we might take it on the chin the kids kept on fighting. A couple brain farts hurt us for sure. I’m watching the Football Friday show on FoX Sw and sure are on the Lampasas bandwagon. I watched the game and agree. Cal made few mistakes that cost them big. I'm hoping they are working on the passing game a little every day in practice because I think it would help the offense tremendously. Also, at times I'm seeing the O-line look really good and at other times not so 'calallen like'. If this unit can continue to improve week by week the offense has a chance to be good. Defensively, it looks like a typical Calallen unit. Not too big but quick, in position 99% of the time, and taking good angles. As far as Lampasas goes, they are for sure rolling. How good they really are remains to be seen but IMO they are definitely a top 5 team and likely a top 3 right now.

Argyle looked great and the fact that they can run and pass the ball makes them the favorite for the State Championship In 4A Div 1. They have a disciplined team and there defense Was all over the run against La Vega Due to them not being able to throw a simple pass. Lampasas Vs Argyle would be a good game to watch.
