Those forehead temp checkers or about 90 dollars and if I had youngsters I would have one and checking kids everyday. Moody comes to GP with their 50 fans, Social distancing should not be a problem and drummers in band can wear mask but horn blowers might need one with a mouth hole. You could have temp check at gate. I see memorial and FB kids in practice on TV. The bottom line is can you guarantee that the kids and fans will not get corona if they do not play football or Go to games. Play Ball.

Can anyone guarantee no one will suffer serious injury at game. Car accident going to the game? Have a cold and give it to another fan? Is there such thing as just a cold now or is everything the plague? Since 2/1/20, CDC the be all end all data that everyone looks at shows 179 people IN THE US 24 yrs old and younger have died from Covid-19.

Let's open it up and go with it. And but no means do I want anyone to suffer the loss of a loved one. But no one is guaranteed not to get this even when you do what they tell you to do. So let's move forward.

It's the parents, grandparents, siblings with underlying health conditions that you have to worry about. What about coaches? Coach Danaher is 70 years old. What about coaches and trainers with underlying health conditions? Do you allow the stands to be full? BTW, those forehead checkers don't tell you if a kid has Covid but is currently asymptomatic. Without a vaccine the season is in jeopardy.

What about referees will they risk getting Covid for a few extra dollars? Exactly. There was a shortage before the pandemic.

Right. Can anyone guarantee no one will suffer serious injury at game. Car accident going to the game? Have a cold and give it to another fan? Is there such thing as just a cold now or is everything the plague? Without a vaccine the season is in jeopardy. So as a fan, What are we supposed to do? If we go to the games we risk exposure to the pandemic. If we stay at home what's the chance any games outside the major metroplexes will be televised even with the UIL lifting the Friday night ban. And I'm sure the TV folks will jack up the price for the services. We are left with hoping to see a couple clips of highlights on the teams we really want to follow. Those are the options as I see them. None of them good.

The Virus thing want be over until after the election. Both sides are investing billions of dollars to get in power to get a return on their investment. The fake news will fizzle after that.

There are ISD's, radio stations and small businesses that do this already. Flour Bluff ISD is one that already did it last year for all games.

But looking at the statewide picture would you say 50% of the schools have this capability. I would Not. And think of the 3A Schools and below. Many of which don't have near the budget of FB and the like. What's the percentage for those fans 10% .... Not likely. No matter how you try to sugarcoat it. This sucks all the way around. Only the big money schools and those in the Major metroplexes will get coverage. The rest will be left out.

The "virus thing" will be over after a vaccine is developed and distributed all over the country/world. Fake news won't have anything to do with it. Had a co-worker get sick from it and she was a healthy lady in her thirties. Her hubby was hospitalized in the ICU but is now better.

FB has students wanting to be in sports media video and announce games online both live and replay in accordance with UIL rules. With the restrictions being lifted on regular season Friday games and the possibility of no fans in person I would expect the Hornets games to be live online. They do a great job and frankly better than their adult advisor.

Only the big money schools and those in the Major metroplexes will get coverage. The rest will be left out. I'm sure you watched games especially during the playoffs done by outfits like Texan Live. They primarily use one small HD camera from the press box and one or two guys doing the play by play and color commentary. Their production studio are laptops hooked up to the internet. I bet even at the smaller schools in the state, you could round up a couple of kids who love audio and visual who would do the broadcasts with maybe some incentive pay from the local community or booster clubs. The clubs could also help with facilitating the purchase of the equipment . No, we are not going to get Fox Sports like coverage or even something put out by a local TV station for that matter, but it will be better than nothing or sitting by an AM radio with all sorts of interference at night because some or the AM stations are required to lower their power at night by FCC rules.

If the CDC told people that staying inside for 14 days would save the 2020 college football season, the entire South would be locked in their rooms right now!
