I see that your reading comprehension is lacking. You read an article. I can show more that contradict your article. You are focusing on the wrong thing. Hospitilization numbers. Seriously? Stopping the spread of the novel coronavirus is the focus. Or do you disagree with that??? I don't think 'stopping it' is an option at this time at all. I think you are right and that people need to do everything possible to slow it so that we do not completely overwhelm the hospitals with it at this point. There are signs on every business I've been to in both Comal and Bexar counties to wear a mask yet I'm still seeing people all the time in those businesses WITHOUT masks on. Why is this? Fine, if you don't care about yourself then at least have the decency to care about others and wear a DAMN MASK. It is not that much to ask and if you don't want to wear it that is fine also, but stay out of businesses that clearly have signs posted to wear them. Honestly, a little bit of common sense here could go a long, long way to slowing this thing down. Any of you who think this is a hoax and a bunch of BS needs to just take a look at the numbers today versus just 7-8 days ago in SA. I do agree that some numbers are being fudged but 36,704 more cases today across the US versus 24 hours ago should draw a little attention even from those who think this is just a big politically motivated thing. 127,693 deaths in the US should open some eyes. Yes, that is indeed a small percentage of the population here and we all know that the flu in a bad year has killed that many here but this thing is FAR FROM OVER. Also, it doesn't matter just how small a percentage the number is if it is a loved one so everyone needs to keep in mind that here and count all your blessings if you do not know a family who has lost someone already from it.

Don't disagree with this. I do have a big issue with the numbers being fudged because I used to work in healthcare and we had to walk a very fine line with how we requested reimbursement for diagnosis from either Medicare or private insurance companies. Even an honest mistake could have put you in an orange jumpsuit in a Club Fed or caused you thousands of dollars in legal expenses. It just chaps my hide now the Feds and States are not only allowing diagnosis to be fudged, but they are encouraging it. They just need to be transparent with the numbers. How about a secondary column in reporting or an * noting the numbers who had pre existing conditions or died from something else to denote Covid may have not been the sole factor in the patient death? Also they need to deduct from the numbers of people who are testing negative after a positive initial test or those who tested positive but were asymptotic which I would be willing to put down a Benjamin a sizable number of these new positives are showing. The increase in testing would probably show this because employers are requiring their entire workforce to go get tested if it's been learned just one person has been exposed or is confirmed carrier.

When you see someone not wearing a mask understand many have health issues that don't allow restrictions to their breathing of any kind. A mask causes you to breathe your own exhale. It's a catch 22 for them. Those people are very aware of the danger and are keeping the distancing. Not the same as those flaunting precautions.

Agree completely that the numbers should be completely honest and transparent!!!

But honestly, of the ones I've seen without masks in businesses in the last week I'd say that the HUGE majority, like 90% or better are very young (under 30). I seriously doubt many, if any of those have breathing difficulties in any way.

Surgeons and other healthcare providers wear the masks, even before this pandemic. The mask is not hermetically sealed. CO2 escapes and fresh air does come in. I have been working 13 hour shifts while wearing a mask, doing physically demanding tasks, etc. No lightheadedness or dizziness or feeling like I cannot breathe. I am 58 and work with a lot of 20 year olds. People with health issues should not be out in public for their own safety. My Mom only goes to her medical appointments. She sits out on our front porch or back patio for fresh air. My wife has not been anywhere since February. They are staying away from the public to protect themselves.

I wear the mask in stores and I will not confront someone who is not wearing a mask. That is there business. I carry a small bottle of sanitizer in my vehicle to use before going in the store and after coming out. I use the store or restaurant sanitizer if available even though I used mine in the car. I have more faith in the sanitizer than I do the mask. Having retired I do not get out much and I am frequently exposed to the birds, squirrels and raccoon than anything else. There are cows and horses on this ranch but they don't come inside my yard fence.

The latest thing I've heard coming from Houston from what I would call a very reliable source is that some major hospitals have moved in refrigerated morgue trailers in order to be prepared for the worst.
I sure hope that it does not get so bad they have to be utilized like they were in places like NY.
This morning I am happy to say of the 6 patrons in the convenience store I stop at only 1 failed to have a mask on. And, the cashier behind the counter told him in a very nice way that he would not be served unless he had a mask on the next time he entered the store.

I wonder how much the transfer of money has? We could spray money with Lysol spray.

Interesting debate where we have These PlayStation All Americans switching over to voice their opinions on a simple thing like wearing a mask. The Back Street Resturant in Sinton had a employee test positive and now they are closed temporary to desanitize. Workers lose pay. There is a beauty shop in Calallen Judi open back up after desanitze as one of their beauticians tested positive. They had employees not getting a pay check. These are people living pay day to payday. Losing a weeks paycheck is tough on them. You can’t eat with a mask on but my wife and I wear a mask until we sit down to eat. Takes very little effort. Our church has shutdown in consideration of a lot of elderly people in our church. I try to be considerate of others. I don’t like politics and I don’t like politicians. We have a culture war going on and the COVID has become political. You as a individual can help by not being political. If you can keep from getting the virus, you have won.
