I just wonder how much more testing is being done now than when this first started and they didn't have many tests. And if that is why there are more positive cases. I know Brazos County just surpassed 1000 Positive test about a week ago. There is def way more testing going on. My concern is the hospital numbers have shot way up here in SA. We were very steady for a couple of months and last two weeks our hospital numbers just about quadrupled. I’ve spent the last two weeks in quarantine because we had a student in one of our courses test positive. Measures were taken to make sure our incoming class was healthy, class size cut in half, prescreening, strict measures. We still had someone get sick by the end of the week. Nueces County went from 800+ to 1,000+. 215 new positive cases on Wednesday. Over 20% of total cases in one day!!! Since Memorial Day, people stopped wearing masks and no longer practiced social distancing. Big rise in the 18 to 40 group.

That whole area was doing great for awhile until now. I had even commented to my wife how low the numbers were down there. Not anymore it looks like. Hoping Nueces County can get a handle on it soon.

The CC parks and rec reported lots of out of state plates on cars at the beach recently. Usually most out of the area visitors normally were like DFW, Austin and San Antonio but these were far northern states in big numbers. That combined with not keeping up the distancing and other safe practices aren't helping.

Of course its a bit difficult to look cute and pick up women, or men for that matter with a mask on in a bar much less enjoy your cold beverage.

FBFan, we were down 3-4 weeks ago and went to the Natl Sea Shore and were amazed at how many people were stacked in side by side. We drove down at least 2 miles and it was still packed! It looked like Port A beach. We gave up, turned around and went back to my cousin's house and just sat on the deck over the water and enjoyed a couple drinks. smdh

Life is full of choices. If you are a person with any condition that makes you at risk then take all prudent precautions. If you are not and choose to attend places that might expose you to any contagion and have friends, contacts or family who do have those health conditions then take precautions anytime you're near them. Parking the world is not a reasonable option. I concur. This all started from poor leadership from the top and it has not improved. America is still last in the whole world with Covid-19. More and more of our younger folks are getting this. It's causing strokes and even dementia in the young. It's affecting their respiratory sysytems with permanent damage. This is nothing to play around with.

I haven't really heard of a gym being a big source of transmission at least here in the state. The gym I go to is still way behind of capacity and another two I drive by on a daily basis is the same judging by the number of cars in the parking lot. I think some folks are reluctant to go back plus many of them have suspended child care if they provide it along with classes like Yoga and circuits. In a gym you are moving around so you have less time to be in someones sick zone where as in a bar, you are close and personal either voluntary or involuntary at times. Plus some of the "experts" for they are worth suggest the virus isn't so much spread by touching stuff as once thought.

SA news reporting 699 patients in hospital, over 200 in ICU and over 100 on vents. That is a HUGE increase from just a week ago. If this keeps going our hospitals are gonna be screwed. A UTSA Math professor who has been spot on with his predictions/Covid numbers for SA is saying if we do not do something now, by August we will have over 8K people in the hospital. That is downright scary, we are on path to cripple our hospitals. Most people will turn out ok but there’s a huge chunk of us that won’t.

Houston hospital has already admitted the reporting isn’t accurate. I’m sure it’s happening everywhere.

I’m sure there are some fudging of the numbers, more numbers more money in the hospital systems. However, I’ve been a part of the medical community for a long time. The medical community here in SA that I know are very concerned. And I don’t say this to discount anything you are saying, I’m just saying what I’m seeing in my little world lol. We’ll probably never know the 100% truth on any of this. All we know is what we see, what we’re told, and what the media feeds us.

I'm going to chime in on this. I hope sooner or later people will begin to figure out that all of this is not about a virus or evening rioting. It is however all about division and control. How can large amounts of people (you and me), best be controlled? You divide them. How do you divide them? By doing exactly what has been happening sense March. I'm not even disagreeing that there is not a virus but I am disagreeing that there are all these side affects that derive from it. As many have mentioned already, there are all kinds of viruses around that we do not have vaccines for and they are nasty. They've been around sense way before this virus and there was never really a pandemic on the scale of this proportion. So why? Because we've come to a place in our society that the 1% elite of the world are ready to impose their agenda for control of society as we know it. These types of ideals have been tried sense the beginning of humanity. Do you know who these 1% elitists fear the most? Regular people like you and me and it doesn't matter what walk of life, religion, nationality, language you speak or race for that matter. They know if people figure this out and come from underneath ether they're done for. All of these politicians are only out to partner with the lobbyist and special interest groups that in turn make them their wealth. Why do you think all of these career politicians, I don't care what side of the fence they're on, spend huge amounts of money to try and get in to those political spots? Just to make the salaries that it pays? It is hell of a lot more about the "other" money and wealth they will obtain. I've said it before, if you want to label me an extremist, a supremacist, or a conspiracy theorist that is your purgative but I'm none. What I am is a realist. I would invite anybody who is interested to go and try to watch a couple of videos that were readily available on youtube before all this began but have now been pulled like so many other things that provide an in depth depiction of what has been going on in our societies for a long time. You may have to dig a little to find them and watch them but if look hard enough I believe you still can.
Here they are: "Everything is a rich man's trick" (about 3 1/2 hours long) and "Plandemic". And as T Owens said- "get your popcorn ready".
