Taken from us way too soon. As you descended in to the BHS parking lot last night you were met with an overwhelming scene of an outpouring show of support spectacle in standing room only style to celebrate the life of Tre Allison as the community continued its mourning and to seek the beginning of a healing process. This reflects what Tre meant to this community, his teammates, fellow classmates and the impact that he had on others that reached beyond Burleson. From surrounding communities both near and far them came. I have never seen such a scene in all my life. Cherish what you have today. Love and care for one another. Hug your friends, teammates and family members today. Tell them you love them. This reminds us of how uncertain life can be and most importantly just how much EVERY LIFE MATTERS. Thank you to everyone who came out to honor Tre Allison. To the family for allowing us to show you all how much Tre meant to this community, the coaches for loving our boys as much as you do, for the parents who showed up to mourn with your children and those parents who even just dropped kids off, to Tre’s friends who shared such sweet memories with us. Thank you to our football players for the brotherhood you have shown, thank you Tre for sharing your beautiful life with us and last this sweet sweet town of Burleson, nothing compares. This year we play for Tre. #TreSZN

Are you talking about this vigil photo or the aftermath of what has now occurred as a result of an individual who attended and then tested positive for COVID? Because of this now the summer workouts here are temporarily suspended until all known individuals who may have been in contact with this individual have been notified. It just doesn't seem like BISD can catch a break. We've had 3 kids loose their lives in the last year that I'm aware of. 2 were from Centennial and then this most recent at BHS. It has been a tough year with the loss of these kids compounded by this pandemic and the aftermath and ramifications of economic fall out. Everybody has felt these issues but it has hit this community especially hard. I don't want to speak things in to existence but it just seems like we can't get the positive momentum balloon off the ground and with everything that has transpired here people are beginning to wonder if we'll even have sports in Burleson, TX. in the fall. And if we do I'm not even sure how competitive we'll be at this point. Just about everything that could possibly go wrong has. Really not sure what's next if there is a next. It seems that sometimes you have concede to fate and say, you win...... It kinda feels like we are living the movie "We are Marshall" right now. Tough times. Everybody stay safe and I look forward to seeing how some of your programs progress through the summer and going to the fall.

No. He died from a car crash about 9:30 p.m. a few blocks away from BHS on June 8th. He was a passenger in a vehicle driven by another BHS student who had just graduated. This occurred the first day of summer workouts. There was another vehicle that had pulled out in to the road and clipped the back side of the the vehicle the two BHS students were in. As result they lost control and spun out going off road directly in to a tree and then a subdivision brick wall. The passenger was one of our starting CB's was killed. The impact nearly split in half the vehicle they were in. And now, as a result of the vigil that was held, and because there was such a large gathering there was an individual who attended that reported symptoms the next day was tested positive for COVID.
I'm going to go ahead and say this and I know we try to stick with football related discussions here- I don't doubt that there is a virus but have all of the so called COVID related hospitalizations and deaths been a result of it? Maybe they'll come and seize my computer and shut me up for even discussing this but so be it. I'm saying my piece. People had better wake up and realize what is really going on here, and see that EVERYBODY'S very rights and liberties are being stripped from them as we know it. It's about control of everything. There, I said it. Now I can be labeled as a conspiracy theorist and be ostracized.

My heart goes out to his family and friends as I've been there and done this way to many times and know how devastating it is. My senior year we lost 3 fellow seniors to accidents out of less than 220 kids in the class. I still think of all of them fairly often as well as their families and it has now been some 34 years later. The following year we had two kids who were a year behind me and that I was really close friends with die in a horrible car accident a couple days after they graduated. Those two boys were on their way to college on full scholarships. There were not two better kids around then them. Neither were hell raisers like we were.

Prayers sent to the young man’s Family and the Burleson community. When it rains it pours but it will get better. Hang in there things will get better.
