Will Floresville ever be a contending team?

I think it comes down to Tivy, BC and Pioneer. Brenham and Alamo Heights could cause some problems, but those top 3 should be the cream of the crop in R4 Div 2 IMO.

I agree and maybe Liberty Hill but I dont know if they have enough to hang with those teams.. Regional Semis BC vs Pioneer Tivy vs Brenham Regional Final Tivy vs Pioneer

But now they are in 5A and playing against the likes of the teams mentioned will be a tough road. So I'm going to see how they do, I expect them to do well against lesser teams, but these teams will present problems for them. I do know in 4 games vs Calhoun in the recent past LH was 1-3.

Looking at the Region I do like LH to finish no worse than 2nd in District. I only see McCallum and Marble Falls giving them trouble in district. For Bi District they should make it through unless they draw Brenham. If they do at best 50/50 to move on to round 3. That's the best I can see them doing at this point. Cant see getting past Tivy, Boerne Champion or Pioneer in that round.

Liberty Hill played Brenham in 2014 and 2015: In 2014 LH won 49-47. In 2015 LH won 41-14. Brenham refused to play anymore after that.
But I actually love the 2020 team being the underdog, I hope they get overlooked in the playoffs, just a move up program after all.
PS hounhound, LH and PLC only played twice not 4 times as you seem to say in every thread LH is mentioned, only in 16 and 17. 16 was a bust season, great kids but didnt play to potential. 2017 was a group that had only 1 returning starter from 2016 and a brand new head coach. The starters were almost all underclassmen and that was the worst game that group ever played including Junior High. They turned in to a heck of a football team later that season. Most of them came back and went to state in 2018. That 18 team was better than anything PLC has ever put on the field, A trip to Jerry world and 7,417 Rushing yards says so, that broke the all time Texas record from the 1953 Sugarland with Ken Hall by the way, broke the 65 year old record for single season team rushing campaign. I had a Senior on that team, and his little brother along with many back ups were Sophomore lettermen that year, they had their cleats in ATT turf, now they are hungry Seniors. The 5A Bump, here we come and we will see how bad the LH class of 2021 boys and their teammates want it...

Lot of confidence in Tivy, what are the Antlers returning on Offense and Defense? I know I'm very surprised.. As far as i know they lost alot of offense, only 1 major contributor back the RB, lose both QBs and all their WRs. Defense has some back but I wasn't impressed with them last year on film. Maybe their JV team was good and they are banking on that but i dont know where all the love is from, maybe bunch of Tivy lovers on here! I think BC is going to be better than Tivy and thats because BC lost quite a bit too on both sides. Tivy and BC have really been on the cusp of advancing in recent years and even when they lose a lot those teams seem to just reload. I feel like Pioneer is right there with those teams and they have a stud QB back, hence my pick.

I see what you are saying.. we shall see how BC and Tivy do in their non district games, I think those are the top 3 teams and brenham/LH aren't far behind but I just feel being around pioneer community right now they have high confidence these kids arent afraid to play those BC/Tivy teams, especially playing BC last year in their own back yard (Dome) and going toe to toe. Alot of people ive talked to thought that Pioneer was actually the better team, just couldn't quite overcome that bad first half with maybe the jitters and still had a chance towards the end of regulation to win it. I see a different Pioneer team next season more like on a mission, and i think they have the slight edge over the other two teams due to simply not being afraid of the big stage that hurt them last year in the first half.. I mean towards the end of the BC game you had people IN and FROM San Antonio actually rooting for Pioneer in the 2nd half and you could clearly see they were the better team talent or not.

All the coach had to do was kick a fg.

Well I finally make it back after a long hiatus. Tivy is definitely rebuilding this year and will not be a Region favorite. BC will be really good again even after losing their QB. I'm sure Pioneer, Brenham and LH will be in the mix as well. I just see Tivy really struggling this year after heavy losses due to graduation. The kids will play hard but we just lost to much IMO..

Y'all are the leading candidate! Guess people believe that Tivy fight never dies.

I think Pioneer is being under rated in this poll, they will be the team to beat in Region 4, just my $.02

Heard today that Pioneer welcomed 2 new transfers into the program.. Both WRs I'm told..
WR/QB from Alpine HS Incoming Sophomore 6'3 170
WR from Houston area Incoming Senior 6'4 215
If it holds up to be true.. Woah look out
