Unfortunately my Rattlers will be mediocre at best! The Pioneer Independent School District made sure of that... Virtually all talent is zoned to Pioneer so it’s slim pickings for Sharyland... I see Sharyland possibility making the playoffs but they’ll run into Calallen or PLC and get blasted early... Calallen and PLC are 4A. Where have you been? What did I miss?!?

We just don't have the horses to win the race... I think we have a couple of good kids, I like ATH Robbie Mancha, QB Orly Lopez, LB Javier Trevino, and ATH Luis Gonzalez... But after them, there isn't much experience to deal with the likes of Pioneer, DEFINITELY NOT PIONEER... Maybe Shary can beat Mercedes, but that's up in the air, I don't think we can handle EE... It's a sad time to be a Sharyland fan, my have my Rattlers have fallen

This is going to be the valley's best shot in all classes to getting a team at least to the semis, IMO.

Marburger has just gotten bigger, faster and stronger... The speed they bring at WR is legit, Tristan Castillo is a huge threat from the backfield and that “smallish” WR, I was accused of “disrespecting” is a speedy game breaker with exceptional quickness and acceleration.

The Hill Country district teams will be their only obstacle. From what I saw of Pioneer last season and if they can replicate it, they have a great shot. Those teams like Boerne Champion, Tivy, etc play a similar style and usually have a decent to great QB with solid WR's. If they get into a game where the last team has the ball wins the game and Pioneer is that team, they can certainly beat one of those teams from that district. My advice for the Pioneer coaches is if you win the coin toss, make them travel to at least Corpus for the game. Don't defer automatically to the Alamodome.

It always seems to be the same thing... the RGV teams usually have all their horses on offense and focuses on just out scoring opponents. Y’all usually talk about speed on offense. That works until you run into a team that understands that having a solid defense with speed is just as important if not more so! If Pioneer focuses on their defense as much as their offense, then they’ll go far!!

I agree plus i think everyone is sleeping on Pioneer in the region alittle bit but thats how we like it and i can tell you these guys are ready and Trouble is right, Marburger looks thicker and for sure faster than last year.. Did the 40 a couple weeks ago and he ran a 4.58

I hope so! If we stay healthy we really have a shot, Pioneer Wrs corps will be good but when you have the best QB in the region it makes things so much easier for everyone else.. Every top team in the region is replacing their starting QB from last year, i think that is a huge difference IMO especially with Champion having to learn a new system with a new OC and QB
