Great Video, good luck tomorrow night. We were in a war tonight and were blessed with a W Hopefully, y'all came out major injury-free. Lovejoy has their hands full tonight. JPII is not a joke.

Well JP@ is like playing an All Star team, they recruited away a couple of our basketball players with " Academic scholarships" of course great educations for the kids. No injuries last night, but cramping was rampant on both sides, its been cool and the kids have not been pressed...so my advice would be lots of fluid intake. No joke like 10-12 kids ( combined both teams) were periodacally out for leg cramps

Just looked at the Football Friday app, and if that's correct, Lovejoy has about as many games at Memorial Stadium as any Frisco team. Lovejoy plays 3-5 Frisco teams a year, and seems like the mass majority are always at Memorial. Very few Frisco teams play at Memorial 3 times a year...

Well that did not age well... DCTF's prediction didn't age well either. JPII is full of punks. Pre-Game they came out and did a little dance in the middle the LL on our field, and then the Leopards danced on them for the next 3 hours... I'm not catholic, but I'm pretty sure most of the behavior I watched wasn't very Christ-like. They deserved the trip behind the woodshed they got tonight. Leopards looked good tonight. Probably the best-conditioned team they have ever had.

Gotta love DMN
“John Paul II found its footing late in the fourth quarter with its third quarterback of the game, Chase Washington. The freshman ended with 132 passing, two touchdowns and an interception in 12 pass attempts.”
Translation: “Lovejoy called off the dogs and a few “non-transfer / non-scholarship” JPII students got to play after Lovejoy cleared their bench and got everyone PT."
I wonder if these writers actually believe what they a pushing, or if they feel like they are selling their souls for a few subscribers and advertisers...

Lovejoy has used Sportsgram for a long time now, but there are some changes coming. The broadcaster is leaving and they are saying there will be a fee, but they haven't announced what that is, yet. Surprised that Ross hasn’t suggested KMAC as a broadcasting partner. They work with schools/Booster Clubs all over the state! Lovejoy added NFHS. I haven't watched it, but the feedback I received is most people want their money back. One grainy camera, no announcer and spotty connections.

I described LJ's game against JPII as a lose-lose-lose.
Lose and you lost to a lowly TAPPS team Lose big and you got whipped by a weak TAPPS team Win and no one cares, because it's just a TAPPS team. So even a win is a loss.
JPII was favored by 19, and lost by 29 so Lovejoy swung being the underdog by 48 points.
There may be a third loss that didn't occur to me until after the game. TAPPS schools poach UIL student talent all the time, but will they poach coaching talent...

That will buy LJ big dividends especially this year!

That will buy LJ big dividends especially this year! I used to think the class of 10 and 11 were the best conditioned, then I realized their Youth Football and Middle School ball all happened in Allen. Lovejoy has never capitalized on a true S&C program. In 2011 season (class of 2012) it started to become evident. We’ve had decent years, but all Lovejoy teams were gassing by halftime and fading fast in the second half. Lovejoy hasn’t had a big second half comeback in a long time. Coach Ross was smart to never take his foot off the gas and let the starters cool down. We’ve had a few epic meltdowns in the second half when the HC’s thought they could hit cruise control. Coach Green and Cox had their “own” S&C program and the results were horrible. Worst 4years of conditioning in Lojo history. Ford slow-played it to “build”, but it never reached full-throttle in his 4 years here. LJ and JPII has about the same amount of Varsity players, but LJ was clearly the better conditioned team. In past years, JPII’s contractors would have started to shine before the half and then run away in the second half. The new Supt is the polar opposite of the previous regime, thank God. LJ now has a full staff and Ross got to bring in his guys, instead of finding coaches that had accreditation’s that the Supt allowed. I foresee Ross taking the AD role over at the end of this contract period. Then all the sports can get humming.
