Region 1 will go through WF Rider and Lubbock Cooper again. Not sure how many Cooper returns but Rider returns 9/8. Rider returns the QB along with several others and they are going to be 3 year starters. Thats a lot of experience that has been to the 5th and 4th rounds these last 2 seasons.
Region 2 will be pretty tough this coming season. Aledo is returning 4/6 but will be looking for a QB. Teams like Ennis (9/10) and Frisco (9/7) will have a lot of experience returning and are primed for strong playoff runs. Then you still have quality teams like South Oak Cliff and Corsicana that will be tough outs. This might be me being bias but I think Region 2 has the most quality depth.
Region 3 will be wide open with Fort Bend Marshall losing a lot and Manvel moving to D1. To be honest I'm not sure how to rank the teams in Region 3. You have teams like Marshall, Crosby, Texarkana, A&M Consolidated, and Barbers Hill that I would guess are the front runners for the Region 3 title. If anyone knows how many those teams return that would be nice to know.
Region 4 is interesting with no Calallen running things. You still have very solid programs like Brenham and Tivy to consider making a favorite but Boerne Champion had a great run last season. Liberty Hill might fly under the radar a little but I'm not ready to call them a contender just yet.
What do yall think about each region? Who would be your region favorites and darkhorses? Which teams did I not include that should be on my radar? Who am I too high on?

Gonna be tough to get a good feel for things. No spring football, coaching changes on offense and defense and only being able to install plans over zoom. Oil business down may force some to move out of their areas. I hope UIL considers allowing football team activities to start in July as opposed to just the one week prior to school

They will then have their BYE week to get ready for district week 4, but playing Carthage, Manvel and P.A. Memorial should get them ready if they can stay healthy. Their Coach is in his 2nd year there.

Region 1: I don't know much other than Cooper and WF Rider. Should be wide open again.
Region II: To me, its Aledo or Ennis region to lose. Frisco and SOC will continue to make noise. For us (Corsicana) I think we should contend but we have to beat Ennis first, which we have not done since 2011.
Region III: With FB Marshall losing a lot and Manvel going to D1, Anybody like Marshall, Huntsville, or A&M Consolidated should be the favorites.
Region IV: Calallen dropping to 4A, wow, this is totally a toss up. Tivy, Boerne Champion maybe??

I did not match up all the schools as it is time consuming but I did notice that many schools that have winning football teams like Aledo and Allen and Calallen also have A ratings on academics.

Lubbock Cooper has a lot coming back also but not as much as Rider. We can't forget about Grapevine in district 4. They are always a good team. They were down a bit last year but they will challenge Rider and Cooper. Region 2 will go through Aledo as always. I don't know much about Region 3-4 but I'm sure the usual suspects will be the ones to look out for.

I think in two years yall could be serious challengers for state." I still believe this. I think it will be a battle with yall and Cooper but whoever wins should feel confident going into the semifinal game. I bet the field against Aledo and still think there are several teams that could pull off the win. I dont think there is a big gap this coming season.

We have a pretty decent freshman class coming up that will help contribute. Last season we had a big problem with depth. We only had 9 seniors on the team/ 5 of them and the kicker started and contributed. This season we will be able to rest kids and not have them playing both sides of the ball as much. We also have a few kids that missed last season because of injury that are healthy now that should contribute a lot. We just had three kids commit to D1 programs, two to Texas tech and one to Virginia.

I've watched all these kids grow up from about second grade on through coaching in boys and girls club then watching through Jr high and high school.

I hope the season gets played and we get to see how things played out. Cooper vs Rider pt 3 in the region final would be very fun.

Kinda behind the times I guess but I just found out about an "'academic" transfer Aledo got this spring (he was on the track team before everything shut down). He is a RB from Kennedale that played varsity as a sophomore. Saw a tweet saying he is moving to safety. www.hudl.com/video/3/11544379/5e34d37d4ba7a9196c8af484
