I think you are way off on this one....way off. Recruiting is when something is offered to get someone to come play. So, if you are right exactly what do you think parents and alumni are offering these players or their parents to come to their school? Jobs, houses, cash, cars? SMH If I am moving from one place to another and I have a kid that plays ball you damn right I'm going to try and get a home in the zone of a school that has a good program instead of one that does not. Is that recruiting? Even if I decide to move 5 miles or less from one area to another to get my kid into a better situation whether it is for athletics, academics, or both, who's business is that if I have the means to do it. Hell, I'd think a parent if he/she is worth their salt should always try and make the best move that most benefits their kids, don't you? As I said before and will say it again, for 5-6 years Steele was hands down the best program in the SA area and had kids moving in each year. Does that mean when that was happening someone there was recruiting those kids/parents? Oh believe me there are offers for things you mention. It baffles me that you haven't seen this but I'll go with the theory that you are pretending you haven't. Houses and addresses are a hell of a commodity to have when it comes time to getting athletes aren't they? I guess 7 on 7 football super teams aren't a way of recruiting in the good 'ol USA either huh? But for the sake of not opening up a scandal and a toast to the gentlemen's war I'll keep my proof quiet for now. So you are basically calling me a liar then! You are living in some kind of dream world if you believe there are houses offered to families for a high school football player to move in to a school. lmao You have absolutely no proof or you would bring it in front of the UIL! And, if a kid and his folks get talked into moving in to a new area from conversations had during 7 on 7 and they do it, what is illegal about that? Please tell me exactly what rules are being broken when a family changes addresses into a new area??? Again, if you have the money to change locations to better your child(ren), why the hell wouldn't you?

Personally I dont think you have any proof but if by some slim chance you do then you should send it to the UIL. Here is what I wrote about recruiting on the 6A site "I think players recruit, parents recruit, winning recruits, facilities recruit, exposure recruits, but not actual school employees (I really hope not). Aledo gets accused of this and my standard response now is "gather all your evidence and submit it to the UIL". I hope anyone and everyone that has legit evidence would submit it. Even if it was against my alma mater." Some of my own proof is me myself being recruited as well as many of my friends while I was in school. Suggestions by actual coaches such as "if they ain't using you over there we'll use you over here" track season is the best recruiting opportunity isn't it? At least that's where they used to try to get us. But with All Star 7 on 7 teams and social media now seems like the old system can be used even more efficiently. I do have proof but like I said I'll play the gentlemen's game. Like you perfectly said above it goes on. Also if Aledo was doing it why would anyone expose them? It's not worth it People here damn well know it goes on. I love to see people react like as if they don't know. lmao This is a far, FAR cry from being offered anything monetarily to move! So you were so fast on the track you had HS coaches approaching you to try and get you to move? Alrighty then

well that's what one may consider unethical or cheating. See Clemensbuff post above. What's your opinion on if players or Parents are doing it? I've accepted thats the way it is. Hard to blame people for wanting to improve their situation. And there is not a damn thing wrong with trying to do what is best for you child(ren)!

I think the just of both sides of the argument is that quality schools in upward economic regions with good athletics teams tend to indirectly recruit for themselves.
You win you get more media coverage, if properties values increase, jobs are created then people move there.

You are having issues with semantics I never said it was illegal. However issues that aren't illegal are often still stopped because of possible unethical issues. If a school particularly a smaller inner city school's players are being taking through 7 on 7 or different means it becomes an issue for said school and you would be a fool as a leader of that area to allow it to keep happening. But please go on.. a typical response from someone robbing the treasury cough cough I mean the talent pool from other areas. I'm living in a dream world for knowing that addresses or temporary houses are offered for play? So I guess your living in a fool's world since you don't see it happening I guess that just means it ain't happening.

Exactly right But, just read the post (reply to me) above this one from theside and you'd think recruiting is a multi-billion dollar business for HSFB in TX. lmao

Exactly what community around SA has the kind of money you are talking about to provide 'temporary houses' for families to come in so their kid can play for the school in that area. I'm sure there are one or two of those areas in SA but they damn sure are not the areas that have historically won the most in football! Please tell us where you've personally seen this happen in the SA area. I'll be waiting

I don’t believe anyone would furnish someone a home to live in for a blue chip HS player to change to there school. I think it would be hard to find a Coach that was dishonest enough to approve of it. I do know there are cases where a college player that is married has a wife that gets offered a job to get them to come to their school. There may be cases where a player moves to live with a uncle or grandma to play at another school.

That's not recruiting.. that's relocating. Nobody pro.isrd him or his family anything. It's indirectly recruiting because of the job creation the area had at that time.

I can't believe how asleep at the wheel you are to this. Or are just taking one side of the argument to attempt to disprove it. I already said above I'm taking the gentlemen's way out of this. I'm not about to open up a scandal on a board. Let's just say an investigative journalist would put your arguments to shame! 😂 Stay tuned for big news soon!
