Gotta appreciate the kids enthusiasm. As I'm sure most Aledo folks do. This is the first I'm seeing of this but the evidence is clear. We all know that Aledo gives ample opportunity to put ones money where their mouth is when it counts the most- between the lines on Friday nights. Okay young man, go ahead and reach for the stars.
Lesson #1- Don't give a nine time champ poster board material. Feel good about yourself but let your play speak for itself.

We all know that Aledo gives ample opportunity to put ones money where their mouth is when it counts the most- between the lines on Friday nights. Okay young man, go ahead and reach for the stars. Yall do have a Florida commit at QB. Thats a good start. Looks like that just occurred. The Elks know the Aledo D will be looking for him. Consequently, this actually isn't the first QB from Burleson High that committed and went to a Florida school. We had another kid by the name of Steve Kelly who was recruited back in 95' to go play for the Miami Hurricanes. He spent two seasons there and got some spot playing time but wound up back here in Texas and finished his collegiate career at Tarleton after having some life changing events that caused him to come back home. He still holds records at Tarleton. I know that Matt Bishop played at Tarleton for a minute he should know about Kelly. I've only seen video of Jalen so far but he reminds me a lot of Steve Kelly in his frame but Jalen is probably a tad bit taller. The throwing style is parallel in comparison and the tuck and run ability seems pretty equal as well. Lesson #1- Don't give a nine time champ poster board material. Feel good about yourself but let your play speak for itself. The last I checked the 2020 version of Aledo has at least 3 DI prospects that I'm aware of. DE Chris Wright committed to North Texas, Jojo Earle committed to LSU, and Bryan Allen will have plenty of time the next two seasons to make his selection. There will be more who will get a look too. But here is what everybody understands, it takes more than just one elite player to win. It takes a total team effort. But it does help the cause when you have at least a hand full of DI recruits.

Saw that the Burleson game is in Aledo. Makes it that much more difficult to win.

Aledo streaks and who I think could end them.
District winning streak (15)- Mansfield Timberview
District game winning streak (91)- Mansfield Timberview
Playoff streak (24)- N/A
1st round playoff winning streak (24)- Dallas Seagoville/Dallas Kimball
Consecutive 10 win season streak (13)- Lone Star + Timberview + 2nd round opponent
Consecutive region champion streak (7)- Ennis
Consecutive state title appearance (4)- Ennis
Consecutive state title wins (2)- Ennis

Wow..... Obviously I'm not up to snuff on these two but for Aledo to get knocked out of the 1st round by somebody like these two seem very highly unlikely. That's just me though. Maybe I'm missing the boat. Everything else looks like a fair assessment.

Gotcha. Makes more sense. I will say a 2nd round game against Corsicana is no gimme. They could be pretty tough this go around. Speaking of them Cent10 wound up beating them twice in 2019. Both close games. There have been debates if certain teams had stayed down in DII it would have made things even more interesting. If Cent10 brought back all of the same players from last season then I would say yeah. Do they bring back some good players, yes. But it remains to be seen of they can maintain the higher level they've played at for the last two seasons. But I also get that people feel good about certain teams coming in just because of their most recent body of work but things can change from year to year based upon personnel changes as we know and sometimes you end up looking at a mirage. For instance, I think that Corsicana would have a real good shot at Cent10 this season if they had played. We'll find out about them early on in what will now be a non district game in week 2. This will be the first time each other has played this early on in a season but only because of the DI and DII separation.

Saw that the Burleson game is in Aledo. Makes it that much more difficult to win. Aledo is an equal opportunist when it comes to beating people. Doesn't really matter much whether it is at your place or their place. I recall a game a few years back when Granbury had a descent team and they came over to Aledo riding high on their horse. They brought charter buses over from only 20 miles up the road in what looked like an intimidation tactic. Aledo doesn't get intimidated by anybody and especially not at that their place. Confidence is a good thing but sometimes people have to learn hard lessons to not let their mouth overload their A$$ests. And, you can always speak a better sermon with your life than with your mouth. Action wins games, mouths don't.

To be honest I doubt that tweet made any waves.
