This kind of interesting moving from Cuero after a down year and moving to a winning program in a weak district. Cuero does not stay down long unless that coach sees a drought coming up.

Coach Reeve leaving came as a surprise to most of us considering that Cuero’s underclass teams were very good. Cuero varsity was very young last year. The varsity had 13 sr, 15 jr, 9 soph, and 5 Fr. The JV went 9-1, Fr. A team 10-0, Fr. B team 7-2, 8th grade A team 8-0, 8th grade B team 5-2, 7th grade A team 8-0, and 7th grade B team 4-3.
Wish Coach Reeve good luck at New Caney. I just hope we can find a coach who runs the same offense.

Cuero will have no problem hiring a top notch coach. Not sure about Cuero stance on a HC bringing in a few coaches with him.

Cuero ended their season strong and yes i remember seeing the sub varsity teams having great seasons by the scores oldgreen72 posted. Having new HC with possible new system might set them back early but they will be back to being team to beat in Region 4 with kids coming up.
Come monday i think it'll be Cuero, Gonzales, Sinton, Rockport-Fulton and Ingleside in District 15 4a D2.
Who will setup the scheduling in a situation like this with head coach already at New Caney.

If they get one with the same system, then they’ll be very competitive. With Gonzales dropping down to DII, I see the district being Gonzales, Navarro, Wimberley, Manor New Tech, Austin Eastside, and Cuero. Hoping the DC coach Linscom stays. Maybe he’ll set up the new schedule tomorrow or most likely the superintendent.

These were the finalist for the Beeville job and be interesting if they apply for the Cuero job.
Coch Sosa was hired.
Beeville five finalists were Woodville’s Ty Robinson, Gonzales’ Mike Waldie, Summer Creek’s Jody Jordan, former Beeville offensive coordinator and current John Jay offensive coordinator Joaquin Escobar and current Beeville interim athletic director and head baseball coach Richard Vasquez.

Hope to see the Gobblers back on track and going deep in the playoffs again this year! heard the applications will cease Feb. 18 and the hiring will be March 18. We’re hoping DC coach Hataway applied and is chosen. If he is chosen, then the Gobblers will be very competitive. If they hire from outside and the new coach brings in a new offense and defense, then that will set them back a couple years. We have some awesome players coming up.
