Aledo Alumni..I appreciate all you do but Audie leaving is old news. He was never never ever gonna start at Aledo. Thats why he left. All I can say is the new starter is here. He will wear #4...mark it down. Swami has spoken You talking about the Godley kid? If you are, you dont think Rapp would be better than him? The Godley kid's name is Ethan McBrayer. Before he was at Godley he came from Burleson High. We know him very well here as he does us. Ironically he wore #4 when at Burleson and Godley. He does not have the big frame like Rapp or Isbell but his arm is as accurate as they come. He is quick and nimble on his feet, QB savvy, and fits the mold for the Bishop style of QB in the Aledo system and he can only improve and excel in that system especially with all of the weapons he'll have around him. He is listed at 5'11 170 which is good enough in the Aledo system. He left Burleson because he was probably talented enough in his sophomore season to start here but politics got in the way with other kids and coaches at that time and spending another season on the JV wasn't going to be an option had he stayed. He was stellar while at Godley and tied a state record for #21 on the list with 580 passing yards in one game. He is a great kid and we still love him here in Burleson. Aledo won't just hand over this position to anybody as there will be competition and it will be earned but I would be surprised if he isn't the answer to fill the QB vacancy for the Bearcats in 2020. Wish him well and Aledo's gettin a good one. Check him out on facebook and Hudl.

Knew this quite a bit before now but it seemed like the appropriate time to let the Bearcat out of the bag. This wasn't going to be a secret forever. Can't help but feel good for McBrayer. Look forward to seeing him compete well.

Boom!! Swami has spoken. Let it be written, let it be done. McBrayer is the next #4 to win #10. Keepin it in the family. Kind words there, Rico. I hope youโre right. Hudl film looks good.

I think most people are over the transfer thing by now and see it for what it is. Kids can transfer in and out anywhere these days. Look at all of the changes to our program during the off season and over the summer for example. Simply put, if you've won a lot then kids and parents show up at your door step and want to be a part of it regardless of how you go there.

Seems like #4 is out. Guessing its injury but idk and not sure how long. Back to the junior and sophomore battling for the starting spot. Not sure if there will be a stream of tonights scrimmage.
