Yep. FB has two with offers from Valaprasio. I honestly didn't know they even had a football program. I guess that is no different though than a lot of folks from other areas probably don't have a clue that UTSA has a program. This is great for these young men, especially if they are getting their education partly or fully paid for to play ball! A few years back, I was waiting for a flight at DFW and they had the local news/sports cast on. UNT was having a good season and was in contention for a bowl game and their first in awhile. They did a man on the street interview and sure enough, the majority of the people interviewed had no clue UNT had a football program or how well they were doing. It's extremely hard in this era for a college football program to break the ice in major metro areas unless that major metro area grew up around the university such as UT- Austin. Georgia Tech-Atlanta, and a few more that I can't think off the top of my head. Exceptions is Miami loves the U more than any of their pro teams and Ft Worth has adopted TCU as their home team.

The most locally followed college team is the University of Hawaii. All their athletes are reported on like other pro sports teams. They have no teams to share the spotlight with due time difference and distance. The Cowboys and Rangers in DFW don't get the every day publicity that they get in Honolulu. When we lived there you got reports on individual baseball players. Athletes from the mainland have to be very grounded or the over the top attention can go to their heads quickly.

Add Virginia Tech to Johnny Dickson's offers from aTm, OU and OSU. He needs to verbal to aTm now, before the season starts. That would lock him in and still not be binding for him and we all know once you verbal it raises up more interest from all the other schools anyway!

Is the 1st date against R-F a non-district game or just a scrimmage? I think it's a game as the FB athletic page lists a scrimmage with Alice on the 17th and RF as a game the 25th which is the same friday first game date of the other teams in district.

Sweet I guess we'll find out if R-F is as good as King thinks they are then.
