Sinton starting 5 sophomores on defense. 2 were starters last year as freshman on defense.
Sinton has some youth to build around with and lot of them seeing action last season. 7th, 8th and Fr combine record was 24-1 with JV finishing 8-2.

Just notice one of the Fr saw playing time when called up, #62 Logan Dewald at DT along with #88 Jaquae Steward at DT and #21 Tyler Ramirez OLB. Here is the 3 on one play against Navarro in round 3 of playoffs last season. #19 Cooper Dockens TE,MLB started at TE when in a formation with a TE last season. Not sure who the 5th sophomore starter for this season is but there is several from unbeaten Fr team i could see being on varsity this coming season.

yep, hoping senior players get a full season as the lower classifications don't get notice enough compare to higher classifications if you're not in their radar.

Can confirm from Sinton Coach Michael Troutman that District 16-4A DII is being split into zones:
North: Sinton Rockport-Fulton Ingleside West Oso Robstown
South: Raymondville Port Isabel Rio Hondo
Three playoff spots from the north (#1, #2, #4), one from South (#3).

What a mess. That is a sad deal for the valley schools.

However, it is better than the Alternative where the Valley Teams would have to Forfeit the District Games they were unable to play. At Least the Valley Teams have a chance to make the Playoffs. They are just trying to make the Best out of a Bad Situation.

Has anyone heard if Sinton has been able to schedule any make up Games due to the loss of not playing the Valley Teams?
